Swagbucks!

Hey all! I hope your week is coming off to a great start. We are half way through the week, but it's looking good. :-) We are on track with our scheduling goals... (more on that in a future post- with a book review!)

Right now I wanted to talk about how to earn rewards doing something you are going to be doing anyway. :-) It's called swagbucks, and it's a search engine just like google or yahoo. BUT every so many searches you win a 'Swagbuck', and you can buy so many things with these swagbucks. The one I'm eyeing is a Starbucks gift cards. Who wouldn't LOVE to get something they love (coffee!!) for something they are going to do anyway. (like look stuff up on line.)

This is how I find all my recipes; directions; whatever. It works just as well as google, which is what I was using before.

Sales Ad's ~~11/25 to 12/1~~

Mariana's supermarkets:

oranges are 16lbs for $2 ( which is about .13 cents per lb.)
iceburg lettuce is 4 for .99 cents each. (which is .25 cents each)
a whole pork leg is only .89 cents a lb.
whole chicken is only .99 cents a lb.
a 60 count of medium size eggs is only 4.99!
Jonathan red apples are only 8lbs for $2.00 (which is only .25 cents a lb)

Mercado Del Pueblo:

has 5lb bags of potatoes for .99 cents each (not the best deal, but the best deal to be had these days.
loose carrots are 10 lbs for $1.99 (that is .20 cents a lb)
brown onions are also 10lbs for $1.99 (also .20 cents a lb)
red grapes are .89 cents a lb. (not the best deal ever, but a good price none the less!)

Supermercado Rincon Latino

WOW. a 10lb bag of chicken leg quarters is 4.90 cents each. (.49 cents a pound!) but the limit is one. maybe you could buy one, hubby another, and each teen another! :-)

Well it's no wonder they have such a great loss leader.... every thing else in the 'sales ad' is more expensive or just plain regular priced! So, buy your chicken and get out!! :-)

Mercado del Pueblo sales ~~~11/18 to 11/ 24~~

Wow. there are some great sales going on this week!!

Here are a few from Mercado del Pueblo:

Oranges are 20lbs for $1.99 which works out to .10 cents a pound!

White ears of corn are 8 for $1.99 which is .25 cents each!

and a Whole Pork Leg is only .77 cents a pound! WOW!

Gobble gobble!!

Food 4 Less has turkeys for cheap.... and I mean cheap! :-)

The sale starts Wed. the 19th thru Thurs the 27th.

They are the California Young Turkey's.

And the 10-15 lb are only $4

      the 16 - 20 lb are only $6

     and over 20 lbs are only $8.

Isn't that a great deal!

It says you have to spend $10... well, the farmer John Spiral Sliced Half Ham is only $1.78 a lb. Not the best price, but if you have nothing else to spend your ten dollars on, that'll work!

Or you could get Homestyle Pumpkin or Apple pie's for 2 for $5. You would get 4 pies and a huge turkey for $18.. or less! :-)
