Our Little Blog

Jan. 18, 2007 - Our next meeting

I would love to hear your thoughts on this subject.

February 2 - We have a sledding activity scheduled.  After talking to several moms, I have the impression that it might not be a great idea for us to go sledding.  So many little kids might make it difficult without our husbands to helps us, so I am wondering if we should plan an alternative activity. So what do you think we should do.  The floor is open

February 14th -  Our valentine's party

Just a note that this is a WEDNESDAY, not a Friday.

We need to divide the responsibilities like we usually do.

Food -
Everyone bring a food/snack, but divide the junk and healthier stuff????

Activities -
Valentines exchange -  Everyone bring a decorated box or basket and valentines for other children

Games?  Lots of possilbities here - Anyone want to head this up?

Crafts?  Don't know if we need one, if we play games.  We have done crafts at the last couple church meetins.

The only idea that I (Tancy) had was to bring cupcakes unfrosted, and supply frosting and sprinkles/etc. and allow them to decorate the cupcakes at the party.  Could be fun, but then again could be VERY messy.

So what does everyone think??????

Thanks for getting this started-it's a great idea, and an easy way to see what is going on. Can't wait to see how purty it gets! :-) No ideas on Feb 2nd but I will think-I am not too creative here either! See you tomorrow.

Tammy here~

I like the idea of bringing already made boxes for our Valentine's. It saves a lot of time and then the boxes whether glittered or decoupaged will have time to dry beforehand. But whatever works for everyone is fine with me. : )

I like the ideas of games - if we need to, we can seperate the younger ones to play their own games. There are so many games for this special holiday.

I'll be glad to help in preparing some of the games if need be!

I think the idea of the bare cupcakes is a good one. The kids would think that was fun. Should we all bring a snack or should we all just bring a topping for the cupcakes? I could bring some individually wrapped valentine candy for game prizes. Somebody tell me what to do and I'll be happy to do it.
