Update for 10/24

Posted in Noah Updates

As we expected, Noah was admitted to the hospital.  They took blood from his Broviac catheter to run tests for infection.  He will probably not be discharged until Friday at the earliest.  Hopefully, if there is an infection, they can give him the antibiotics to knock it out without having to replace the Broviac catheter again.  It is getting more difficult to find good places to put the new catheter in each time he loses one.

I will post more information as we hear from the doctors.

All the best,

Jeff

PS - If you have not already done so, please read the entry Kate wrote today called "Please Pray Now"

Oct. 24, 2007 - Have you seen this?

I don't know if Noah would be an option for this or if you have looked into it already but I just wanted to let you know. http://www.georgetownuniversityhospital.org/body.cfm?id=555644&gclid=CJ75ieHlqI8CFQwqgAodIFFKJg

This website talks about a procedure to avoid the side effects of the TPN, like liver failure.

Praying this is an answer.

God Bless

Oct. 24, 2007 - Praying for all of you!

Posted by Samantha in Hilton Head

I have been praying for Noah for some time now. I cannot come up with words to comfort you, so I will let God's word speak for me. He comforts so much better than I can.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

Love to you all!

I'm sooooooooooooo sorry to hear that he had to be admitted. Well, the Lord wanted him to be right there for some reason.
He's got a plan! he always does!

We will also pray for the kids at home - as this is probably a little bit of a let down for them, too!!

Still praying for the liver and it's health and for the broviac to be able to stay where it is!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think of you all every day. I understand that God sees way beyond where we stand, beyond the summit we can see from...but sometimes it's still so hard. I'll pray His LovingKindness, which is always where we are. May His hands be warm around you.

Love to Noah and family.

AS I read this I can't help but to fight tears. My heart is crying out that this baby be healed. I pray that you and your family find peace and strength thru this. I also ask God to touch little Noah, And the Dr.'s that are trying to figure out what is wrong.God is the only one that knows and I pray he pours out his annointing over them and you. I think of that song " One Touch" by Nicole C Mullen.Noah is strong He is putting on a Good fight..We all need to keep pushing our way thru to get this child better..MY prayers are with you all.

Dear Kate and Jeff - I am praying that the medicine will quickly and completely eliminate this infection. I have continued to pray for you since meeting you so briefly in Philadelphia. May the Lord continue to strengthen you and give you the comfort of His Holy Spirit. If you have a chance read Psalm 77: 10 - 15. The Word of God can encourage like nothing else.

Thank you for your wonderful words regarding your son's birthday last week. They really ministered to a friend of mine.

Praying without ceasing
