Quick update

Posted in Noah Updates

Just have a couple of minutes here - David was still in terrible pain this morning, so we took him back to the eye doctor today.  Turns out he has iritis which causes eyeball muscles to spasm.  It hurts me to think about it!!  The abrasion is healing nicely and the doctor prescribed two kinds of drops to help with the iritis.  David experienced nearly immediate relief when we administered the drops, so we are all greatly relieved.  He'll be wearing a patch for a few days, but is on the road to recovery now.

Since we took him to the doctor today instead of tomorrow, our birthday outing is still on.  We are treating all of our fall/winter birthday children to Build A Bear.  They've never been and are beyond excited.    I am excited and relieved because I don't have to do birthday parties for three December birthdays LOL.

Super Husband came to the eye doctor with me again today, and Noah decided to turn on the full force of his charm at checkout.  The girls were helpless - no one can resist a Full Flirt Mode Noah.  It was funny and Jeff really enjoyed it.  He has seen Noah work his magic, but not nearly as often as I have.

Even with all of the goings-on of the last couple of days, we managed to bake a mountain of Christmas cookies.  We did gingerbread cutouts yesterday and sugar cookie cutouts today.  Hannah's making the frosting as I type and we are all going to have a big cookie frosting party after dinner.  Unless I get super-inspired, I am going to consider my motherly cookie-making-duties to be discharged for this Christmas season.

That's really all there is to say - nothing too terribly exciting going on here just now, which is a HUGE blessing in itself.  I am loving days where my biggest problem is keeping little hands from sneaking too much cookie dough!

Love,
Kate
