still here

Posted in Noah Updates

We are still home, with Noah still teetering on the brink in terms of his fever.  We take any elevated temp in Noah pretty seriously, and if he looked worse we would take him in even if he hadn't hit the 101 "point of no return."  He doesn't feel well and is just plain cranky, but isn't looking or acting septic or seriously ill.  There is truly something reassuring when he is well enough to be cranky even if we don't enjoy it!  It definitely beats limp and unable to stay awake.

Please pray for us as this virus seems to include Extra Irritable Syndrome for the victims which produces Exhausted and Fragile Syndrome for the victim's mothers.    I really can't complain because at least we are just dealing with ordinary problems and we are doing it ALL TOGETHER AT HOME, but I would love to get my good-natured children back as soon as possible!

Again, I'll update ASAP if we do end up taking Noah in.

Blessings,
Kate

P.S.  I'm tickled to hear how many of you are enjoying our Sarah stories.  I'll have to write a special post about this little gal sometime as we haven't even scratched the surface.  Most of my gray hairs have her name on them . . . .but at least she keeps us laughing!

We can relate a little to some of this, since we've had colds and stomach virus here over Christmas. We are praying for health to return to you all!
Blessings,
Laurie

Dec. 30, 2007 - Sick Family

Posted by Joyliz

I can sort of relate - last year right after New Years, my children all had some type of virus. All six of them plus my husband got it. The first one started, and it seemed as though every fifteen minutes I heard "Mom, so-and-so is sick in the bathroom!" All fell victim to some yucky tummy bug within several hours of one another, and it lasted about one week.

I was as tired and cranky as they all were just because I was so exhausted caring for them. You have my sympathy and prayers, as do all your loved ones who are so miserable. I'll be praying for speedy recovery, and the abiliy for you to handle all this both physically and mentally - we all know you can do it, just hope you don't have to for too much longer!

I'm also praying for God's abundant blessings for you and your family and healing/grace/guidance for little Noah in this new year. Our family continues to pray everyday for him. Sincerely, Joy in Arizona

Dec. 30, 2007 - We have a "beaverish baby" too!

Posted by mamaof7

Our sweet little one who is just a month older than Noah spiked a temp of nearly 102 at 5am, no other symptoms until this afternoon when he threw up all over me! YUK. I surely hope this doesn't go through all of my seven. I don't need 7 beaverish children!! That was SOOOOO cute about your Sarah. Please do share when you have a moment! Gotta love those gray hairs Mama! Love and God bless. Have a very blessed New Year.

Hi Kate,
I have been praying for "ALL" of you!!! We have 7 kids and a grandson, and one of my dd is pregnant- they all got the virus except me ( PTL) but I ended up staying at the hospital 3 days with preggo daughter #2, she was so sick, so I sympathize with you. That is a nasty virus. I will keep all of you in my prayers and especially Noah...it soon will pass!!!

Dec. 31, 2007 - Praying............

Posted by jkiessling

Dear Kate and family,
We are still praying for you all.
It amazes me sometimes when all it takes is a BUG to really pray for the "old" family back - doesn't it?!?!?
Sometimes we "forget" - then the BUG hits - and then we want our "Sarahs" back and our "Davids" back - just everything back the way it was. Suddenly, we don't mind so much hearing the disaggreements and soforths. We just want our family back!
I think that we have all been there, Kate. We will pray that you and Jeff can have your family "back" ASAP.

We do hope that in the midst of all of this - you all manage to bring in the New Year with a hug to all!

Dear Lord, If it be Your Will - Please heal this family -keep Noah out of the hospital and watch Baby Mary.
In you Sons Name - Amen.

Hugs and Blessings from the Kiessling family from Fresno, California

Dear little Sarah!
Did you see the movie Madeline?
Miss Clavel tells Madeline that she's giving her a gray hair. Then Madeline asks - May I see?
That sounds like something Sarah would say doesn't it?
