May be heading to the hospital

Posted in Noah Updates

Wow - when I wrote last night about how quickly things can change, I didn't know that those words would prove true again today.  Noah had a long night - tossing and turning and crying out in his sleep.  He kept waking up so often that we finally just left him in bed with us.  Even there he kept waking me up with his tossing and crying out.

We checked his temp this morning and it was 100.9.  101 means go to the ER, and this is considered close enough.  In hopes of avoiding sitting for hours in a children's ER waiting room while Noah is exposed to who knows what, we called our wonderful nurse who called one of Noah's doctors.  He said not to treat the fever, to recheck it between 11:30 and 12:00, and to call him.  We are hoping and praying that if Noah has to go in (most likely) that we can get a direct admission this way and avoid the whole ER thing.

I am SO thankful for this small reprieve of even a few hours.  My boys need haircuts and I'll feel better knowing that I got the haircuts done, started dinner, did some laundry, etc. instead of leaving in whirlwind.  I'm also hoping that if we do go, having some time to snuggle and read with the little ones will make it easier than just abruptly packing and rushing off.

Thank you all so much for your prayers and all of the encouraging posts you left last night.  We will keep you updated as we can.

Love,
Kate

that God will allow his temp to go down. Father God, please touch sweet Noah as his body struggles to fight whatever seems to be attacking him. We pray for the fever to go down and that the family can stay put right at home. If that is not to be, please surround them with your peace, comfort, and guidance. Please give the docs wisdom and clarification. If they have to head to the hospital, please honor Kate's request to have a direct admit so that Noah avoids all of the bugs that are lingering in the ER. May your sweet Holy Spirit be upon them as a family. We thank you in advance for what you are going to do. In Jesus Name. Amen. WE LOVE YOU KATE! The McCreary's in PA

and am praying for Noah and your family. I've not been able to post after each update/post you make, but please know that I'm reading each and every one and am praying. And I bet I'm not the only one... You have a great cloud of witnesses...

I love to hear how you are sooo grounded in Him. It's the only way to walk whatever journey He is allowing you all to walk through. BTDT and I have no doubt of His love and caring. {{{hugs & prayers, dear Kate}}}

In Him,
