Greetings from Minnesota!

Posted in Noah Updates

Hi, this is Hannah updating the blog. The Danielsons (the family I am staying with) are awsome folks, and since they went to our church when they lived in SC, it has been fun catching up. : ) We did our first VBS session today. It was fun playing with the kids. I am going to do my own Blessings List, then I have to go.

1. We arrived safely. Plus, our plane landed EARLIER than we expected. (And, no I am not kidding.)

2. When I called mom this morning, she said Noah is doing pretty good.

3. I have NOT been eaten alive by the "state bird".   : ) My bug spray works!

I am so sorry this is so short.

In Christ alone,
Hannah Grace Estes.

Hannah Grace!
I have a Hannah Rose! Our family is glad to hear that you got there safely and are enjoying your visit. May the Father use you to help and encourage others while you are there. And may He make His special love for you easy to see!

Great to read your Blog Hannah. What is the state bird you refer to? Some kind of biting insect? God Bless. Michelle in New Zealand. :o)

I have been praying for you to have a safe, enjoyable time! We are originally from MN and miss it sooo much. I have thought of you and your surrounding daily since you left. I know the Lord has a wonderful plan for you in the land of 10,000 lakes.

p.s. I once heard of a little girl that was carried away by the state bird, so be careful. LOL!

Jul. 14, 2008 - Blessing on your Mission Trip

Posted by Kathleen

Our son went on his first Mission trip to south Dakota several years ago, and like your mom it was bittersweet because I didn't go, but he was so blessed by his time there and strengthened in his walk with Christ I was glad he went.
May you be blessed similarily *U* Kathleen

Miss Hannah - I suspect many of us are picturing ourselves in your place. If you have time to post - although you sound very busy, and should be jet-lagged as well - we'd love to know how God speaks in your soul on this special mission trip.

On the other hand, if He speaks in the voice of those around you, that's fabulous too; would love to hear your thoughts, as events unfold.

And if not practical, then whenever, and whatever is well with thee.

Blessings

Dear Hannah:

My family and I follow this blog all the time! My daughter, Jenna, just turned 16, and my two youngest children are the same ages (almost to the day!) as Noah and Mary Faith. We also have four other children.

Please know that you are being prayed for by the seven of them, my husband and me. We wish you only the best on your trip. May God bless you and those you are serving in mighty ways. We'll say a special blessing for you to avoid the insects!

Friends in Christ,
Joyliz from AZ

Hannah,
Way to go! I went on several missions trips (many years ago) when I was in high school, and they are by far the best experiences I have in my memory!! God is so real when we're actively doing His work!! Enjoy this time! Soak it all up (and write it down.)!
Blessings!

Hey, at least you're not in Alaska, where I grew up. There, trust me, mosquitos are bad. I stopped using bug repellent at Scout camp because it wasn't doing a thing. Even when my mom discovered Skin So Soft, that just cut the number of bites down. When I moved to Oklahoma, I was surprised that SSS worked to keep ALL the bugs away. When I took my fiance to meet my parents in Alaska in 2001, he was absolutely shocked at how aggresive they are there, and how large the welts they leave are.

Of course, now every time I smell Skin So Soft, I think of camp! Hope you accomplish a lot there, and I hope this is a good opportunity for you. Have fun, let go and let God!

God Bless,
Shawna

Hannah Estes, you are so lucky to be with one of my best friends in the whole wide world (Linda)... Tell the Danielson's hello from me (Rita), and tell Linda I will call her very soon!!! I know everyone there will have a fantastic time, (especially having a break from the heat and humidity.) Tell everyone there, I AM PRAYING FOR THEM ALL! They sure better enjoy the weather there, because, believe me there is an abundance of sauna like weather here.
My Love to everyone there,
Rita Walden

Ms. Kate,
I don't know if you remember me or not, but my name is Hannah Garbutt. I am 13 years old, and my Dad pastors the church that the Hammonds attend. We are very close friends with them, and Ms. Ruth gave me the link to your site. A while back I told you all this, but then I lost the link to your site. I just now got a new link from Ms. Ruth. But I wanted you to know that I am praying for you and your family. Especially Noah. I hope that you have a good week end, and I am praying for Hannah.
In Christ,
Hannah Garbutt
P.S. Ms. Ruth said I remind her alot of you. I take that as a (rather large) compliment.

Hanna:
Congratulations on your first mission trip. I am sure you will be blessed. My husband and I are retired missionaries not because we wanted but because God told us it was time. We loved working with the children at the camp we were at. You will have many wonderful memories. We do. I hope you take plenty of pictures that you will share. I would love to see the work that you are doing.

How old are you, just out of curiosity?
