Fall burnout?

I usually suffer from burnout about spring time but well, we are on our 7th week of school this year and boy could I use a break!   It's coming I know that but man could I use one now!

I sure wish I could do a 6wk on; 1 wk off schedule but it's just too hard.  We follow the local public school schedule so that we have the weeks off during the year that friends do.   I've struggled with this for the last 7 years we've homeschooled but never been able to hang tough and just make a schedule and stick with it.    This year we are doing 9 weeks at a time for the most part.  We have a week off in 2 weeks.   3 weeks at Christmas and then another 2 weeks in the spring.  Of course we have some of the traditional 3 day weekends as well and I've built in a few days here and there as well as a couple other week - if we are done and on schedule with our curriculum the kids (read I)  will earn a bonus week off, if not we keep on truckin' thru.

So, what schedule are you on?  What would you like to be on?  What's worked for you, what hasn't?   Not sure why, but these sounded like good questions tonight!
