Feb. 21, 2007 - Skillet: The Band

    John Cooper (bass and vocals), Korey Cooper (keyboards, some background vocals), Ben Kasica (guitar), and Lori Peters (drums) make up this four-person hard rock, Christian band that just got a great review on Chris' blog! The band has released 6 albums since 1996, but started to become popular with their fourth album Alien Youth. Collide took on a new style of heavy rock with gritty guitars and harsh lyrics. Singles like "Savior", "A Little More", and "Collide" started grabbing people's attention. With the release of their newest album, Comatose, Skillet is becoming a well-known name in Christian Contemporary music. "Rebirthing" and "The Last NIght" singles are very popular on Christian Radio stations.
    John Cooper's lyrics will stay in your memory, and the guitar riffs and chord progressions will tell you that this is a band that knows what they're doing.
    Not only are they good, but they are unashamed in their belief in Jesus Christ and they'll let you know.

Anyways, I love Skillet. My favorite songs are Comatose and Whispers in the Dark.
