Love of Learning for a Lifetime

One of the great things

about home educating

is being able to facilitate the learning process,

so that our kids keep that

love of learning for a lifetime!

I remember

 being SO proud

the day that reading

FINALLY

"clicked"

for DS.

I wondered out loud,

"WHO taught you how to read?"

      I was thinking . . . I would finally get the

"Thanks, Mom"

I needed for the drawn-out-tear-filled-battle it had been,

over the past few years.

 And wouldn't you know it?

  DS proudly announced,

"Why, I taught MYSELF how to read!"

 Lord,

help me to know when to stay involved

and when to get out of the way

of my children's learning process!

Last time I tried this it didn't work for me. Here I am, trying again... :)

I tutor reading now as well and am finding various methods to utilize, yet I think the issues I'm facing are more about readiness than I originally thought.

Yep, it means I've been to library...!
