Ice Castles

My dear children have had a "snow day" mixing drops of food color into water buckets and watching them freeze on the picnic table.  They are popping the huge ice cubes out of the pails and building a colorful ice castle!  What a splendid idea from the community newspaper.  They are learning what colors are mixed to create new colors.  I hope I have some food color left for Easter!  I'll try to take photos!

I think it's neat that a community newspaper would put something POSITIVE in its pages. There's so much NEGATIVITY with the media these days. Now paint my mind, LORD, with Calvary's blood!

Hey! I think I've come across an Apostolic Homeschooler! Is this the case? I'll be back to your blog to find out what other creative things you're doing.

Oh Krissy,

What a cool idea to use food coloring. I bet they were pretty! We'll have to bring some of that with us next time we go to Tahoe.

Love,
Kiki

Hi, What a wonderful idea to make colorful ice-castles! Out here where I live in the Mojave desert, we don't see much snow, ice or hail (even in the winter).
I'm new to HB, but am liking it alot!
I'll be homeschooling my kindergartener in the fall with Alpha Omega books!
God bless you,
Ginger
