Sunday afternoon I planted Basil, Oregano, Rosemary, Thyme, Tarragon, Cilantro, Garlic Chives and Dahlias. In little window box starters...and much to my surprise Brittany called in to me last night..."Mom, you have sprouts!". Well, of course I had to go and see for myself...because the seed packets all said 10-14 days...could it be???

The answer is...YES, so far, my Dahlias, Thyme and Tarragon are sprouting...but as I snapped the pics...I noticed a trace of green in my Basil. Isn't it amazing that those little tiny seeds can produce something green and living? That always just amazes me. God is like that isn't He? We can plant a seed...it may take a while but that seed is sure to sprout.

Here are my lovely pics...the container instructions are now to pop the lid off and just sit it on top...until the others begin to sprout. I'll keep you posted on my green thumb.

It's so nice to see some greenery growing. Things have been cold here again. Thank goodness for house plants! I just love plants and am so glad that I have so many lovely plants in the house. Maybe this year I can get a garden going if my knee and back will allow it. lol
