Keeping it Simple

It's Wednesday already....

I can't believe how fast this week is going...it has been busy and I am way behind on all my bloggy things so I'll just do a wrap up of the last few days...

First of all, I have to say that I was both shocked and humbled to be chosen as HSB's blogger of the week. I will proudly wear my badge on my blog from now on. Thanks HSB!

Secondly, I have been taking care of my sick girl again...she was sick just 3 weeks ago...and had to pull herself up and keep on going. She and her dance team dance at regional competitions, it just so happens that their first one was the same one that Brittany was sick...she took a day to rest...slept the whole next day and was back at it again...then danced throughout that weekend and Monday came it was back to school and dance again and she is also learning new choreography for next year and this next competition, so needless to say, she has really been pushing herself hard. Last Thursday, she started coming down with the same symptoms...didn't feel bad though until Sunday...the body aches came and my poor daughter coughed every minute of Sunday away...we felt so bad for her, tried everything that we knew possible (at the time) to calm her cough. Monday morning came and we were off to the doctor...only to find out that it is some viral thing ( that is what they always say...) so back home we came and she has been lying on the couch ever since. I checked on her this morning and she stayed in her bed all night last night...so I think it was that warm grape juice (thanks, Kristy). I made up my mind, though, yesterday...if she is still feeling poorly and is looking as pasty and worn down as she was yesterday...I am scheduling her an appointment with my doctor...because as a long time veteran of bronchitis...I really think that this is what she has...and she isn't getting any better. I guess I'll see here in a little bit. She was a bit more perky last night...because I pumped her with all kinds of fluids and made her some comfort food for dinner.

Thirdly, I proudly announce that the love of my life and I just celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary on Monday. He had to leave for work on Monday but took a later flight out...so we were able to steal away for a nice lunch (and brought take home back to Brittany) before he left. I am so blessed to have married my true love, my best friend and the person that I would like to hang out with more than any other in world. God has truly blessed me.

So, there you have it...I had intentions of making my menu, digging out my wedding album and putting a wedding picture of us here, on my blog...and many other things...but time has just gotten away from me. Today, is another busy day(I am getting my mammogram today)...but since we are cooped up here...I am getting my laundry in order...which is a blessed thing.
