A concerned citizen...
AKA Tea Party Patriot!
If your worried about your freedom that seems to be slipping away further each and every day...call your representatives and senators. We have to stand together and fight against those who aren't looking out for our best interest.
Stand against National health care and sign the petition at http://www.freeourhealthcarenow.com
If we don't stand up and fight our children are going to be the ones to suffer.
I am not a political activist, but what is going on right now with our government brings me sweat and tears. I think about our great country and realize that the freedoms that we have are in many ways taken for granted. It breaks my heart that for the last 12 years I have poured everything into my daughter to give her an education, to watch her fall in love with the history of our country. To have studied the war where we reached our independence only to have her on the brink of adulthood and hand to her what is about to happen in these days. I know that God is in control. I ask myself, how can this possibly be happening and the answer that comes to me every time is...maybe we have all had it too easy for far too long, maybe we take for granted the freedoms that we have been given, maybe it is our era to stand and be patriots and fight, again for our freedom.
This time next year, my daughter will be graduated and making her way in life. She is entrepreneual...wants to continue her education in dance and open her own dance business...this has been her dream since she was six. I am not going to discourage that dream...but I am going to do everything I can to help her achieve it...if that takes me out of my comfort zone than so be it...but some day...as my grandchildren sit around me and I read to them about our great history, I want to be able to look them in the eye and know that I did everything I could to protect them as well.
May God bless America!

Hello!
I share all you concerns! We have been learning about God's Providential Hand in the forming of our nation and it brings me to tears to see how it is being torn apart from the inside out.
I think one of the major issues is that our true history... our Christian Heritage... is not taught in most schools... even Christian schools... or even our churches. Many people don't understand the difference between a Republic (which is what was handed down to us) and a democracy (which is what we are under). Sadly, democracy leads to oligarchy (I think I spelled that correctly).
I feel a stirring in my heart from the Lord to educate people on our Christian Heritage. It is difficult to see what is going on and not wonder, "But is it too late?" It must not be if the Lord is stirring many people up. And He is. I hear it more and more that people are starting to wake up and do something.
I am very encouraged that the AMA (American Medical Association) has taken a stand against the Nationalized Health Care. I know of a handful of doctors that are not backing this idea up and they have shared that other doctors they know don't either.
Thank you for the link for the petition! I wasn't aware there was a petition out there!
Let us not grow weary in doing good! (Galations 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.)
Blessings to you,
Heather

Hello:
I just stumbled across your blog and it is wonderful! As for the home school thing, that is what I would have your daughter list. After all, is apparent that the education children are getting at home is far superior to the one they would get in public schools.

This is such an awesome challenge for all of us. Thank you! And may I just say - WELCOME BACK! I am so glad to see you on here again. I took my chance today, just saying "I'll just check to see if she's back" and here you are.
Hope you had a great break.

Amen, all that you said is so true! The government is getting way too much control over things. At the same time, people are being too eager to give up their freedom and rights.in favor of the government taking care of everything for them. Believe me, we do NOT want the healthcare system that Canada has. I have been to Canada and so I have heard people there say how it is not good. In fact, I have heard many stories of people from Canada coming here to the U.S. to get the healthcare they need because they couldn't get it in Canada. In some cases, the people would've died in Canada waiting for the care they needed. The same is true of other people living in countries with government-controlled healthcare....they come here to get what they need because they cannot get the care they need in their own country. If we get government-controlled healthcare here, the quality of care will go down. Right now, people have free clinics and, if needed, emergency rooms to go to.....noone not (even illegal immigrants) is turned down at all, they wll get the care they need, when they need it. My mom and dad can testify to this as they used to have to go to a free clinic, They got good quality care and even medicine. They are now able to afford private insurance and also get Medicare but, like me, are now afraid we will lose it all to the government-controlled system. As I said before, the government just has way too much power....I don't think that this is what our forefathers envisioned.
