The Lord has given me a great burden for the newest and latest work out craze, YOGA! I have found that many of my close friends have been using yoga as a new work out technique. I could not understand how grounded Christians could begin such a practice, yet I know very little of the subject myself, thus I kept my mouth shut! But after days of wrestling with the Lord as to speak up or not, I have decided to dive in to some research on the subject and see what I find. I must say it is much Worse than  I even began to imagine!
All Scripture is Given by God and is useful for teaching and for showing people what is wrong in their lives. It is useful for correcting faults and teaching how to live right. 2 Timothy 3:16
As we look at scriptures I hope you will see how deceptive Yoga is and choose to turn away from this practice!
Yoga is a Hindu-based spiritual practice that can expose those who participate in it to demonic influences!

30 million people are practicing yoga in the United States alone.
The term yoga comes from a Sanskrit word which means yoke or union.
Practicing Yoga is Yoking yourself to the Hindu gods. The various physical and mental disciplines of yoga were seen as a method for individuals to attain union with the divine.
God gave very clear instructions to Moses as to How we are to Worship Him, We were told to have no other God before Him!!! Israel was strictly told not to worship as the other nations worship their gods all through the Old Testament.
Deut. 12:2-4 "Do not worship the Lord your God that way!"
Deut. 18:9 "You will enter the land the Lord your God is giving you. But don't learn to do the terrible things the other nations do!"
Take a look at what Laurette Willis, who had been involved in yoga and the New Age for 22 years before coming to Christ, has to say to Christians concerning Yoga: CBN.com
Many Christians have been deceived into thinking that yoga is just relaxation and exercise. Nothing could be further from the truth.  Yoga is intended to put one into an altered state of consciousness. Believers who think they’re “just exercising” are being swept into a counterfeit religion.
1 Corinthians 10:23 says "We are allowed to do all things. Yes. But not all things are good for us to do." We have a freedom in Christ, but do we want to use this freedom to bring ourselves into bondage?
Galatians 5:1 "It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery."
2 Corinthians. 6:14 says, “For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?”
Yoga is a Hindu or Buddhist practice and has no place in a Christian church.

I was very sad to come across your site and see how anti-yoga you are. Yoga is not a religion and as far as I am aware, should never be sold as one. Yoga has been around for some 10,000 years and was a system that wise sages came to practice in order to help with self contemplation and meditation. The path of yoga when practiced wholly leads to enlightenment - bringing unity of the individual with all that is. Yes, hinduism involves many, many gods (after all, God made us in his image - and we all have many faces) but Yoga is not a part of hinduism. After looking at your blog I still disagree, I stand on Christ and Christ ALONE!!! My husband was a trainer at a gym, I understand the importance of excerise, but not at the expense of my relationship with my Lord and Savior!

Yoga is a pagan religious practice, which taps into the spiritual realm. That is why it is called, “alternative” medicine
It is real and really works. The spiritual realm is real. We are spiritual creatures having a physical experience, but yoga isn’t from God. It’s non-biblical. And if something of a spiritual nature isn’t from God, then what is the only source left?
Yoga is founded on the opposing belief that there is more than one way to God, though the inner self [man] rather than Christ.

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
- 1 Timothy 4:1

You are either for Him or against Him, there is no in between!!!
