We didn’t have much time together,

I’m sorry things came to an end.

I really looked forward to meeting you,

Taking care of you and introducing you to other folks of kin

Some people were a great comfort,

While others didn’t know what to say

Some people completely ignored the whole situation

And others said you didn’t really exist anyway

But I know that you are real

I love you and I think of you a lot

I hold on to the moments though few

It’s really all that I’ve got

But ultimately, I take comfort in knowing

That you leaving us is hardly the end

For I know that you’re well taken care of

Resting in the arms of a dear sweet Friend
