I have gone through some family issues recently and also went for a time without a computer. I could not have made it without friends praying and being there to help me hang on. I truly realized how blessed I am so I decided to have a friendship giveaway. This is what you need to do....comment on this entry about sometime that a friend truly been a blessing to you or you were able to be a blessing to a friend. It can be anything. Then post about this giveaway on your blog for a 2nd chance to win. I will take entries until July 10th and on the 11th my son will draw a name from all entries for a winner. I hope to see lots of entries. God Bless and thanks to all my friends who have been so supportive to me and my family especially through the last trials. Hugs, Pat
Well, I will have to go with my friend Jennifer Williams. She is always a blessing to me. She always gives me straight forward Biblical guidance without making me feel stupid :) She has been there for me to watch my kids while I was in labor, to teach me to sew, to share recipes, to spend time with me just because!
I have had so many blessings, it is hard to comment about just one. A few years ago, we went through a very trying time in our family. Our adult son backslid and this caused many problems in our family and our ministry. If you are a mom and have had this happen in your life, then you can know how heartbroken I was. We did not see our son for almost 7 months and did not hear anything from him either.
I literally had to take it day by day. However, several of my friends would often put a card in the mail or call me on the phone just to tell me they loved me and/or were praying for me. My husband (my best friend!) would so often just hold me and stroke my head so I could go to sleep.
I like to be a blessing to my friends and family when I can. My MIL is so dear and was such a huge encouragement to me when I first came to know the Lord. She was a great example. They have experienced some very hard times in the last few years. I found out from one of my daughters that they did not have money to buy basic necessities for the home. (The girls spend the night often and noticed the need.) We were in a position where we could financially help. I went to the store and bought all the things she needed, plus some little things I knew they liked (like special candy and crackers they ate). I sneaked up on their porch and unloaded it one early morning before they got up. I never told them it was me who did it and I so enjoyed hearing her say how much of a blessing it was for someone to do this and she had only prayed to the Lord about it. I have done this for others as well. They never know who it is and it gives me a blessing at the same time.
Like you, I have been recently been going through some hard times. It's gone from one of my children, to marital problems, inlaw problems, and just life in general. I have been so overwhelmed at times and I am so grateful for the the friends that I have made here and for the few friends that I have at church. To choose just one friend would be very hard since several friends have helped get me through different kind of problems. But I think over all I have to choose God for being there and never giving up on me and showing me that it is okay to ask for help and showing me how to listen to what my friends had to say.
~This is a great idea Pat. Thanks~

First of all, my very best friend is Jesus Christ! He is so wonderful each and every day and has filled my life with so many wonderful blessings.
I have had several people that have stood out in my life and have been special friends to me. My husband is the best friend on this earth. He loves me daily and fully. He is my life here on earth and I love him more than I can say. I have had a dear friend since childhood that has always stayed close to me and she is very caring, humble, and faithful. Her name is Holly Prater and I am so grateful to have her as my friend. Tina White has been a special blessing in my life. She has taught me so much and has been an example of kindness and true friendship. My earthly sisters...Brenda, Glenda, Sue (she is in heaven today but her life still shines before me), and Vicky are so precious to my heart. They have been more to me than just my sisters but they have doted and loved their baby sister more than I deserve. I love them all so much. And finally, all of my dear sisters in Christ that I have had the priveledge to get to know on VUH. They are faithful to pray and encourage me and I am ever grateful for these friendships!
Thank you Pat for this contest and the opportunity to brag on my friends!
Hi Pat! What a wonderful and sweet idea! I'm glad you and your family are doing better. I have a friend that was an especially big blessing to me several years ago. I had to have my gallbladder removed and ended up spending 4 days in the hospital. Benjamin was 6 months old and nursing. My friend brought him to the hospital every 4 hours and stayed for a visit afterwards!
Thank you for entering me into your giveaway!

Well, first I'd like to mention that you've always been a blessing to me as a sister in Christ. Outside of my relationship with the Lord and my prayer and devotion time, my husband has always been a great source of comfort to me. He's not just my husband, he's my friend, my shield and my rock...we've had to lean on each other more times than I can ever begin to count. You can read more about him on my blog too. Thank you for all you do and for giving us all a chance at this giveaway!
I'm so thankful for the Christian friends God has led across my life's pathway down thru the years. You know...those ones that even if you don't see them for awhile...when you do see each other...you just pick right back up where you left off. I'm having a good time meeting and making new friends here in Arkansas...since I left all the others in Texas. Thanks Pat for being one of the best friends my sister and I have!! I love you!
This is my place to share as I learn to be the Wife and Mom that God wants me to be. I am striving to be a Proverbs 31 wife, a homeschooling Mom that is training my children and grandson in the way God would have them to go. Also a place to share the joys and trials of caring for my Mom now that she can no longer care for herself.
