spelling bee

I recently entered a spelling bee that my Homeschool Support Gruop provides. Although my group had only three contestants, the words were purty' tough! Near the beginning, one girl was eliminated, so just me and the other girl were fighting for first. I got out on percillator (I think that's right?) but got back in becuase the other girl misspelled too! Then I got out again on boutique, but got back again because the girl misspelled again!  And we went on and on and on, and finally I won on rhapsody! City spelling bee, here I come!

Oh yeah, I got tagged! Here goes:

5 things in my freezer:

ice cubes

ice cream

spinach (blech!)

goat's milk

bagel bites

5 things in my closet:

tie

belt

pants

shoes

shirts

5 things in my wallet:

Congrats on winning the spelling bee! I've always liked spelling, but I'm better at writing or typing words than orally spelling them. I actually had a friend go to the National Bee a few years ago (she got 8th place).

BTW, your wallet sounds interesting... :)

Okay, good job on the spelling bee.

Now, I agree with you totally on Harry Potter and The Chronicles of Narnia. And I've read both and seen both movies.

However, I don't think that just because the main charachter and the "good guy" uses magic makes it bad. What about Eragon? I don't think that's a bad book. (And I don't think it'll be a bad movie once it comes out, either) And yet Eragon, the main charachter, uses magic.

And what are YOUR thoughts on Lord of the Rings? Good people use magic in that. Elrond, Gandalf, Tom Bombadil (In the book) etc.

Anyway, yeah, I got ahead of myself. Hi, I'm Erin. Um... I forget how I found your blog. Come check out mine sometime, and maybe answer some of these questions!
