Nov. 20, 2006 - Fantasy series and such

Posted by totustuus
Have you ever read The Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander? It's another good fantasy series in the way of Narnia/LotR/Redwall. It's really surprising to me that so few people have heard of it. The first in the series is The Book of Three...you MUST check it out of the library and read it! Very good, highly recommended. :)

I enjoyed reading all of the mortifying things about you! lol Because you've been so very...er, open about yourself, I'll share one of the most embarassing things about me: I had a fungus problem on both of my feet until I was 10 years old! haha...just thought I'd let you know that ;)

Okay, well, as you probably know by now, I have the tendency to write very LONG comments...so I'll stop now and finish all that homework that I'm supposed to be doing.

Best regards,
Aldawen

I'm Mariel, the girl's blog you commented on-the subject being of Redwall and how I would like your blog because of it. Well, I have visited your blog and do I like it? Considerably! You seem to be a very interesting person who is willing to admit his faults-or rather, his non-brought-up-in-conversation information! But that is a good thing-believe me!

I must say, I REALLY like your music! My mother wants me to ask who sings it and where is it from? Personally, I am curious also. Would you be interested in becoming friends? I don't give that lightly and I only ask that of people's blogs that I will actually read!

But there is one
Who will hold you fast,
Even to the end of the age!"

No, I'm really not using any book series for piano right now. I did Bastien for the first four years and then sort of branched off into random classical pieces. We have alot of sheet music, so I just pick the ones that I want to play (or my teacher picks) from the books that we already have. Bach is my favorite composer, I actually played Invention 13 a while ago and it's very fun! You should enjoy playing it! But, I like fast, technical pieces...so, it sort of depends on your style of music.

I play WAY too much by ear, and once I work through a piece once I can have it memorized. But my sight reading is terrible...it's something that I really have to work on.

Well, thanks for your comment! t2yl
