an ode to mothers

I would like to take a moment and recognize, mothers. As children, it can be hard to appreciate them, and this often causes them grief. But just think, the pain, the suffering that mothers go through for one thing. Children.

It is very sad that nowaday most of America's youth and teens disrespect and despise their parents, specifically their mothers. Why this ingraditude? It's my opinion that these teens just don't stop and think about what this wonderful woman has done for them. This is a rather short post, but I simply wanted to say, Thank You Mom!

Proverbs 31:28
Her children arise up and call her blessed;

Yes. I don't know what I would do without my mother! Isn't it sad that many kids/teens take the love offered them and then, basically, 'spit it back in their faces'? A never-done scene just crossed my mind-me and my mother. Me, as a teen, giving her a lot of so-called 'attitude' and when I stop to catch my breath I catch a glimpse of her face-she is crying! Crying! I NEVER want that to happen!

Thank you for this! Here's to mothers!

"The wind may blow,
But there is One
Who will hold you fast,
Even to the end of the age!"

Warmly,
Mariel

P.S. I DO love tags!

Argh!!! I wrote you a nice long comment on your last post and it deleted itself...it's so annoying when that happens.

Enjoyed reading your post about mothers! You're right, teens today can be very disrespectful and ungrateful to their parents, especially mothers.

Hope you have a happy new year!!
