~He is Risen... Such Beautiful Words~
Mar. 12, 2009 - Vanderburgh County Right To Life Banquet, and Sarah Palin
Hello! This post may be somewhat loosely jointed together, and pretty random, since I don't have one definite subject to post on, so try to hang with me...
First of all: Every year in Evansville, Indiana, there is a Right To Life Banquet. Last year, Jacob and Mom went. This year, Nick and I are going as well. And the exciting thing is... Today we found out that Sarah Palin is going to be at the banquet! (We had heard that she might be there, but now we're sure.) I am so excited!
Well, any other subject would be slightly anti-climatic, and I don't have any other subject to post on anyway, so adios for now!
In Christ,
~Emily

 Oct. 30, 2008 - I support...
| Howdy ya'll! I'm back. (If anyone truly noticed my absence.) No, I haven't gone anywhere, I just haven't posted. To plunge right into my post, push aside small talk... Election Day is in five days. The day that will decide who will be president for the next four years. As it comes up, I encourage you (Those old enough to vote, and even those too young. :)) to look at the beliefs of the candidates. There is the Republican party, the Democratic party, and the Independent party. The candidate of the Republican party is John McCain; the Democratic party, Barack Obama. Independent, Chuck Baldwin. I find Mr. Obama's beliefs on human life to be very frightening. He is pro-choice, which is pro-abortion. Many conservatives call it pro-death. Mr. McCain and Mr. Baldwin are pro-life. I, too, believe in protecting the life of innocent babies who have no way of protecting themselves. Many people are prejudiced against Mr. McCain because he chose Sarah Palin as his vice president candidate. Because she is a woman, and a mother, they say she is not qualified to be vice president. I agree that the woman's place is in the home. I also believe that God brings women into places where they can help bring healing, and change. When people have brought up Deborah as an example of a time when God used a woman, the far right, Vision Forum people say that she was a judgement upon God's people. Judgement?!! She delivered them from their enemies, saved Israel! GOD put her in that place so she could save her people. If the only reason a person doesn't vote for McCain is that Sarah is a woman... God made her a woman! Who are we to shout her down, to say she's inadequate to serve, to help... The conservatives can not be split in two. ALL of the democrats are voting for Obama. If 1/2 of the Republicans are voting for Baldwin, and half are voting for McCain, who do you think is going to win the election? I know that I'm not going to change anyone's mind about voting, since ya'll have probably made up your mind already, but I fear what is going to happen on Novermber 4th. I fear what our country will be like if Obama wins the election. His VP candidate, Joe Biden, PROMISED that within six months, if Obama is elected, that there would be some International crisis, that all of the countries would test Obama. McCain proved his strength, his loyalty, to his country when he was tortured for five years in a prison camp. He chose to stay on with his countrymen when given the chance to return home early. This election year, I support John McCain and Sarah Palin. If, when I go to Heaven, God tells me I was wrong about Sarah Palin, then I will apologize and ask his forgiveness. Till then, I support John McCain and Sarah Palin for President and Vice President. In Christ, Emily © Copyright 2008 by Emily Johnson |
