Mar. 3, 2009 - 39 Babies Saved So Far
40 Days for Life is making an impact and making the news. In many different cities in the U.S., Canada, Australia and Northern Ireland, groups of people are gathering in front of abortion clinics and praying for a change in abortion laws. They're holding prayer vigils, not protesting. They're talking with people who want to talk to them, but the main objective is to pray.
An amazing part of this is that they are getting favorable coverage from the media. Newspapers and TV stations have run stories that show this event in a positive light. One newspaper reported about a woman who changed her mind about getting an abortion while the reporter was there interviewing one of the counselors. The reporter then interviewed the woman who changed her mind, and the paper actually ran the story. This is a big change from the way the media has handled pro-life coverage in the past! This is so exciting!
