Create a Static Page
Create a new entry to your blog that will be used as the "static page" for all of your Bible searches. Title it something approproate and put in some temporary text and publish it. Copy the URL of the page, not just the domain, but the full URL.
Create a phpAV account
Go to phpAV and create an account. Use the page URL of your "static page" for the URL asked in the sign-up process. (If you've already signed up for an account, log in and change the URL with the ControlPanel. ) Once you're signed up and have verified your email addess, log in and copy the "Form/Search Result" code.
Inserting the Form/Results code
Return to the admin section of your HomeschoolBlogger account and edit the "static page" you just created. Click on "Source" to show the raw HTML, and paste the code over the temporary text you'd left before. Without clicking "Source" again, click "Save Changes". Your Bible search page will be fully functional!
Creating a sidebar form
In order to make your new Bible search accessible to all the visitors to your blog, you'll want a handy sidebar form. Return to phpAV, log in and now copy the second code, the "Short form for sidebars" code. Go back to your HomeschoolBlogger account and edit your template. Look for the sidebar, which should be marked with something like . Pick a handy place for the form, and paste it in the template's sidebar section. View your blog to make sure everything worked out right. Also do some searches to make sure the search part works well.
