Every year about this time when
it gets cool, comes the INVASION OF THE CREEPY CRAWLIES. We've been
killing centipedes left and right (more like left, left, left, left,
left, left, left, left, left, left, right, right, right, right, right,
right, right, right, right, right), and spiders are more abundant. I
say "more abundant" because we usually have a lot of spiders.
Fortunately, though, the flies are going into hibernation or something,
because there hasn't been many in the last few days.
(AS many...there still is some!)
Jay and Abby are so cute...they always have to run and tell Mom when
they find a centipede. "Mom! Dere's a cen'pede!" Jay says, his brown
eyes big. "Mom! Uh 'pede!" Abby repeats, her blue eyes equally big.
I have discovered an ideal hiding spot for centipedes...the plastic mat
under Dad's studio chair. There were two under there already, dead, and
I shoed another under (not knowing what else to do with it).
And so...I shall write again tomorrow (unless I am wiped out by The Invasion of Creepy Crawlies)!
