Mar. 24, 2008 - Easter week
It has been so long since I have blogged, I may have forgotten how. We had a great Easter week. Since St. Patrick's Day was on Monday, we spent Monday discussing St. Patrick's life and ministry then we moved on to Easter starting on Tuesday. We had a great week that was really busy with learning yet not overwhelming-if that makes sense. We read the book, The Legend of the Easter Egg. We made resurrection rolls and an empty "tomb cake" , and colored eggs among other fun activities. I love talking with Gabriel about Easter and Jesus, he has such a pure and trusting heart. When I ask him a question about Jesus' death and resurrection he is just so matter of fact and sure of his answers. I pray (and truely believe that he will) stay sold out to God and sure of his faith. I have 200 things to do before naptime ends so enjoy the pictures!
Have a blessed day,
~Tammy

Mar. 24, 2008 - Empty tomb cake
I was just reading your blog and I noticed you guys made an empty tomb cake. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind giving me the recipe and more details. We made Easter cookies that were supposed to be hollow on Easter morning but they didn't turn out very "empty." I love the idea, but I was disappointed with the results (and they weren't very tasty).
Thanks!

Apr. 1, 2008 - Celebrating Easter!
How excited I get reading about the wonderful ways my grandchildren are learning about Jesus! Not only can they have so much fun treasure-searching for pretty Easter eggs, but they go on exciting treasure hunts through the Bible! "Happy is the one who finds wisdom and understanding, for the gain from it is better than gain from silver and its profit better than gold." -Prov. 3:13, 14. I'm proud of you, Tammy; keep up the good work!!! HOWEVER, I am still on my own treasure hunt for the pictures you said for us to enjoy; and, do not tell me that the easter bunny ate them!!! Tammy,
I found your blog! I forgot the url so I just searched on the member list. I love the idea of making your own laundry soap. Does is it have any particular smell to it? I may have to try that. I look forward to reading your blog.

Apr. 3, 2008 - Hide Eggs, NOT Pictures!!
Okay Easter Bunny, let's wiggle that cute little fuzzy nose and make Easter pictures appear on #1 Fan's screen!! Or, hasn't the Mommy-Teacher completed her 200 chores yet?? If not, I'll wait patiently (kind of) until she can tickle the pictures out of the bunny!!
