Apr. 5, 2008 - Look! An entry!

I now have two obsessions: Lord of the Rings and Bonanza. To set the record straight, I am not obsessed with Bonanza because the main characters are amazingly handsome. It's because of the wonderful family interaction. Admittedly it took a while for The Powers That Be to get the personalities right, but afterward the show is such that it has to be described entirely in superlatives.

Two things have come to mind. First, you're all probably thinking that I'm weird. While you may not be too far off, rest assured that there are hundreds of people who feel the same way (about the show, not about me being weird). And that's if you want to be conservative. I am aware of two online polls trying to find the best TV shows ever. In one poll Bonanza is in third place, in the the other it's in fifth.

My second thought is that some of you may never have heard of Bonanza. (Don't worry -- you will probably get sick and tired of the subject after this.) Since I'm to lazy too type out a summary, I'll just send you over to the Wikipedia page for it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bonanza
I still don't know how to make links, so you all will have to copy and paste.

In lesser news, spring has finally come to Wisconsin! There is still a little snow on the ground; but some purple and yellow flowers have started to come up. Once again, I'm too lazy, this time to identify the flowers. I can tell you they came from bulbs. And from the glance I gave them, the yellow ones don't look like daffodils. My guess would be crocuses.

By now it should be apparent that I've come back from my long absence with plenty to blog about. (And a lot of overused phrases.) I should be back either in the next week or after several months. See you all then.

Dec. 31, 2007 - Boing!

Happy 2008 everyone! I'm so excited! I've been left home alone with the computer, the dvd player, and a comfy blanket. I'm just going to relax and watch westerns. Most of the rest of the family have gone to Pizza Ranch, (a Christian pizza place) and they're going to bring a pizza back for me. This is one of the best New Year's Eves I've ever had. How is everyone else celebrating New Year's Eve?

Sorry I have not posted in so long. You see, I only have so much time on this computer daily, and what I have is usually spent on my new LotR forum and my favorite chatrooms. From now on, I hope to write an entry here at least once a month.

Sep. 9, 2007 - The leaves are falling! The leaves are falling!

Fall may not be here offically, but to me, it has come. I'm so happy! Fall is my favorite season 'cause it's such a releaf after a long hot summer. Not to mention the piles of leaves, hot apple cider, warm sweaters, corn mazes and other pleasant images it brings to mind. So, what's your favorite season? I probably won't get any answers 'casue I'm back too early, but I wanted to ask. I've decided to not quit blogging BTW. There will be a short interval while you all groan in despair. (hee hee) I've just learned that today has been declared Free Hugs Day by some people... somewhere (freehugscampaign.org). So I shall give you all a virtual hug.  (((hugs)))  I am inspired to take over the world! Oh wait, I think Walmart beat me to it. Phooey. In a few minutes it will be Monday, so I had better post this while it is still Free Hugs Day. Drat, too late. I shall proclaim this my very own (Virtual) Free Hugs Day and give you all some more (virtual) (((hugs))). Signing off and good night.

Aug. 28, 2007 - Good-bye.

I'm leaving the blogsphere for about a month to decide if I want to keep blogging or not. I'll be back September 29.

Aug. 16, 2007 - Hi ya'll.

Say hello to a new Royal Warden of Fangorn's Keys. I won a contest on the plaza! (www.lotrplaza.com) It involved shooting arrows at Treebeard and it is a long story. So I shan't tell it to you right now. I have a lot of other news though. I've become a vegetarian, I now have short hair,  I just got glasses, and I'm going to work at a fair this Saturday. To explain. Mom was going to get some more chickens, except these ones were going to be for meat. Me and my sisters staged a very minor revelution and in the end all decided to be vegetarians. I'm the only one that actually stuck to it. Once Mom said she wouldn't get the meat chickens two of my sisters decided that since the cause had been taken away, why continue with the effect any longer? The other forgot once and after that decided that a week was long enough to be one. So that explains why I'm not eating meat anymore, the short hair is because my sisters and I all sent our hair to Locks of Love. It's rather nice having short hair, much easier to wash and brush it. At my request Mom got me several hairbands because otherwise my ultra-frizzy hair puffs out on either side. The hairbands work pretty well though. The glasses I just got yesterday. I've had glasses before, but I've lost them all. I'm determined to keep this pair. I'll have to see how that goes. My dance went well and I had a very good time doing it. The stool I made in Woodworking disapeared. I still have the gumball machine, but no gumballs to put in it. I made four bracelets in Jewelry, one broke, but it wasn't a good one anyway. I learned how to pearl in Knitting, now I just have to remember how. (I've realized it was Fine Arts Camp.) I'll tell ya'll about my job at the fair next time.

Aug. 2, 2007 - I've been veeeeeeeeeery busy.

I'm finally sitting down and writing a blog. As my title states, I've been busy. The reason is another fair. It's called the Fine Arts Fair, it's at a church we used to go to, and it's fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun! I'm taking dance the whole week, Kitchen Magic and woodworking Mon-Tues, and Jewelry and Knitting Thur-Fri. It was originally supposed to be Mon-Thur, with the part where we show off on Fri, (at least I think on Fri) but we had to switch because of a funeral at the church. My dance class is mostly jazz, but it has a hip-hop teacher too. Tomorrow is Friday and me and Katie will be dancing for an audience. I am sure I'm going to mess up. I don't have the dance memorized yet! I hope I'm able to fix the rest in my head in class tomorrow. I like my other classes too, woodworking was fun, and I made an awesome bracelet in Jewelry today! At least I think so. I have a tag to do now.

Tag Rules:

1).The player starts with 8 random facts about herself or himself.

2).The person who is tagged must post on his/her own blog his/her answers and post the rules first.

3).Then the player must pick 8 people and tag them.  Also leave them a note on Message that lets them know that you tagged them.  You can write who you tagged on your blog also!

1. I love Lord of the Rings.
2. I'm addicted to my LotR plaza.
3. I love Lord of the Rings.
4. I just finished reading The Hobbit.
5. One of my favorite LotR characters is Gollum/Smeagol.
6. I love Lord of the Rings.
7. My favorite author is J. R. R. Tolkien.
8. As some of you may have noticed, I love Lord of the Rings.

I tag: totustuus, cherryblossom, rainfall, Catcher818, ForeverConfused, Yankees213, musicfreak, and Sparkles. I'm going to tell everyone they've been tagged now.

Jul. 29, 2007 - The fair again.

This morning we went visiting a church we used to go to. I liked it, except that everyone remembered me and I hardly remembered anyone. Afterward we went back to the fair to get our water tested for nitrate. It got a ten, which is not good. So we shall probably have it professionally tested, and if it still comes high Mom will do something about it. Then we got to watch the juggler again that we watched yesterday, and I forgot to tell you about. He is awesome! He can juggle seven bean-bags or five clubs. He also juggles knives and torches. Also two golf balls and one golf club. Then we came home and ate pie and ice-cream. May as well end the blog here.

Jul. 28, 2007 - This should be a very long blog, but I'm tired, so it might not be. But then again it might. At least it's a long title.

Today we went to the fair. As you have probably guessed, I had fun. I went on six rides, the ferris wheel once, the merry-go-round once, (yes, I still like it) the tilt-a-whirl once, a ride I don't know the name of once, and a ride called Ali Baba twice. After that many rides I was feeling a bit sick, so Mom made me sit down in the shade for a bit. After that I spent the rest of my money on a hot dog, milk, and a nice horse t-shirt. The animal part of the fair was pretty good too. My favorite was a goose who made the sound our geese make when they meet after being seperated. He would also nibble knuckles if you put them through the bars. I also liked the bantam birds. I had no idea they came that small! I think we should get a bantam rooster. Maybe a few bantam hens. We'd have to house them apart from the other birds though. I suppose it would be to much trouble. (Sigh.) When I have a house of my own, I'm going to have chickens and goats and cows and horses and ducks and geese and a dog and some cats and of course some guinea pigs and maybe a pig or two. That was a run-on sentence, wasn't it? I also plan to be a proofreader, because it looks like a fairly easy job and I can do it on a laptop, so as to be at home to take care of the animals. It will probably take a while to get enough money to buy a farm, though. I sure got off the subject! I'm to tired to get back on, so I'll say good night.

Jul. 27, 2007 - Important! (at least I think so)

I'm going to change my URL from pigwig to Pbj2007, the reason being that most people have it that way, so that would probably be easier to remember. Also, I have never really liked pigwig. As long as I'm busy announcing something I may as well anounce that you guys have finally got the number of comments past the number of entries. Keep it up!

Jul. 25, 2007 - The title is the hardest part of the blog. Anyone ever notice that?

G'day everyone. Sorry I haven't been around for a while. Okay, sorry I haven't been around in over a week. It's just that there are more interesting things on the internet than my blog. Like the LOTR forum I've joined and  other people's blogs. I've also been busy catching up on my reading for the 90 day bible reading challenge. I can't figure out how I got a week behind. I figure once we hit Psalms I ought to be able to catch up easily. The fair is this week! We're going on saturday, when rides are a dollar each. Also we get to go to the library  tomorrow. Mom is taking Eric to the barber for a haircut, usually she cuts his hair herself, but for some reason she decided to have the barber do it this time. He's starting to look like a sheepdog. *g*

Jul. 14, 2007 - I'm back

I've been away for a week and I only got two new comments? Tsk, tsk, tsk. I was hoping for some comments to make up for the fact that my team lost. At least I had a good time and learned things. You should have seen some of the things we did to our counselor. We did two obnoxious counselor cabin challenges, (a cabin challenge is where you challenge a cabin to a contest and the winning cabin gets team and cabin points). A obnoxious cabin challenge is where we each try to dress up our counselor the worst. Would you believe it, we won both times. We also did a shaving cream hairdo, where we gave our counselor a beard, unibrow, and ice cream cones on her head. The other cabin won though. I got to play in a mud pit! So much fun. And of course we played a game in the lake right afterward. This morning we got up at around 6:30 and they were playing a march much faster then it was meant to be played. Trying to get us going or something. Also, I got to read more of the LOTR books today. We stopped at a library on the way home. This time I got up to during Elrond's counsel. Me happy.

Jul. 7, 2007 - See you in a week.

I tagged Jemma and she tagged me back.

Once upon a time there was an awesome guitarist named Gary. Gary was amazing, he could play any song you can think of. Well, like any awesome guitarist Gary started a band called Gary’s Band. After a while they weren’t getting any gig and such until one day they got a phone call. It was a friend of Matt Thiessen from Relient K who had heard them one time when Gary's band was playing at a youth function. They were blown away when he told them that he thought they were good enough to go on tour with the group. With the guys in Gary's band ecstatic to be playing with such an awesome group as Relient K, they packed up and took off to California. While on the way to California it began to rain heavily. Gary began to worry they wouldn't make it to California to play! So they just sat, somberly, looking out of the windows. Then things started to get worse.  First off, the rain wasn't rain at all, Gary saw when he looked harder. It was hail. And as he looked, the hail began to grow larger. Soon it was the size of ping-pong-balls! "We got to stop!" Matt Thiessen yelled back from the steering weal. "But if we stop, we won't make it to California in time to play with Relient K!" replied Gary. "But I can hardly see the road!" "All right. Turn into that hotel parking lot; we'll stay there for the night." So they turned in for the night only to see Relient K already there. "What are you guys doing here?" Asked Gary, totally confused. "We're doing a concert here in town, do you want to play a song in it?" "Sure!" "Great! what will you be playing?" "I'll have to ask the other band members."

Rules: Every time you are tagged you must type or copy and paste the story on your post and add 2 lines and tag 7 others. I'm going to summer camp tommorow, I'll be back saturday. LEAVE COMMENTS. Tell me how much you miss me, tell me how much you don't miss me, but above all else; leave a comment. See ya'll later.

I have a question. Who's that elf who leads those elf bowmen in purple cloaks that come to fight in the battle at Helm's Deep at the end of The Two Towers? If you know, please tell me.

Now that I've disposed with the tag, I can tell you about my Fourth of July. We went to a friend's party. They have a pool, and there was one of those little inflatable raft. I had a lot of fun with that raft. There were two boys, and they would try to get me off and get on themselves. It was rare that they succeeded. When it grew dark there were fireworks! There were ground fireworks and fireworks in the air. After that, I got to ferretsit! One of the girls was taking care of some ferrets for some people that were away. I got to go with. It was a tough job; we had to watch television AND two cute animals scurrying around. Then we stayed the night because it's a couple of hours between their homes and ours. I can't say the ride home was enjoyable. I was sitting in the back seat with two sisters and we were all a little crabby. Next time I shall sit BETWEEN Nita and Katie. The only bright spot was that we got to stop at Mcdonalds. Yay! Now you know all about my Fourth. You don't know much about my family though, so I shall tell you them and their ages. First is my mother, I can't tell you her age. Next, my brother Eric: 15, Me: 13, my sister Mercy: 11, my sister Nita: 9, and finally my sister Katie, who just turned 7 on the third. Oh, by the way, we get Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King tommorow! I am so happy, but sad that it's the last one. At least there's the book to look forward to. I would like to thank everyone that left me a comment. I got 5 on the last entry. That's a record! My family is bugging me to get off now. Bye.

Jun. 30, 2007 - Yes!

I found the Lord of the Rings book! Today we got to go to the library. I only got to read up to right after Bilbo's party. I'm going to find Mom's library card and persuade her into checking it out. It's better than the movie, like most books. Did anyone ever read Ella Enchanted by Gail Levine? They ruined the plot in the movie and turned it into a soppy romance. Sure, it was a romance in the first place, but not to the degree in the movie and not soppy. Sorry, I get a little mad when I'm talking about that subject. The book is great. The Lord of the Rings book, from what I've seen of it is better, though. One Book to Rule Them All... lol

Jun. 25, 2007 - I really need to start thinking up more creative titles. I'll start tomorrow.

Sorry about the blog with just a title. My computer did that to me eleven entries back, but I decided not to do anything about it ‘cause the title said it all. I’ll tell you about the blog. I’m tired, been getting up to early lately. Therefore I shan’t make much effort to stay on one track. I was telling how we were taking care of some animals for some friends. Two guinea pigs and a dog. I’m having fun. We went to the pool today and then we were going to go to the library, but my little sisters forgot their shoes. I was looking forward to going. I want to read the Lord of the Ring series. I’ve watched the movies, but never read the books. Since I can’t remember the movie much (I wasn’t that old then) I figure I’ll read the books, and watch the movie again. We watched a movie called the Caine Mutiny with Humphrey Bogart. It was a good movie. Good-bye all.

Jun. 23, 2007 - I wouldn't put a title up here if the obsessive-compulsive side of me wasn't making me do it.

I don’t really have anything to blog about except a funny thought I had yesterday. I guess you couldn’t call it a thought exactly because I said it, but I did think it before I said it. (Like I’m supposed to do to everything I say.) Okay, here I go. Mom was standing in the garden watering some plants and she said “Look, there’s a dragonfly! Oh, wait that’s a damselfly.” Having the inquisitive mind that I do, I said “What’s the difference.” Then I realized “Oh wait, I know; the dragonfly captures the damselfly, and then the knight-in-shining-armor-fly comes and rescues her!” So that’s my funny thought for the day. Bye!
