The first break

is coming up.  One that the kids can really say they don't have school work to do because they are taking a Thanksgiving Vacation!  They are thankful for that!

Plugging along, my 9th grader pulled out the booklet on rules and regulations for graduation yesterday.   She began going down the checklist of things she has to accomplish for credits to graduate.   I think she was happy  to see that it wasn't as hard as she thought it was going to be!  I am glad to see her excited about getting more than just minimum requirements to graduate.

I am struggling with my oldest as the last year and a half is passing.  He just doesn't seem to realize that it is as important to the last day as it was for the first to accomplish the work tasks.  When a career is chosen,  they seem to think that they don't have to study certain things anymore.   Hard to impress on them that it is all relevent to what you need in life.

My youngest had a chance to go to her friends house the other day.  She discovered that the older sister is studying to become a veternarian.   Well, it confired that math and sciences are necessary for that field!   So glad to have someone else confirm what mom has been saying!
