Jul. 13, 2008 Holiday Time = A New Painting
Well, it's been holiday time in our house - not that we went anywhere - the children have been ill, I've been ill as well, but, we're getting there! We have had a nice break from the 'norm', though, and I've been able to attend to my oil paints once more. Here's my latest painting, of our local natural springs:

I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. I'm continuing to enjoy oil painting, and I'm learning new things about it all the time.

Keep smiling!

Sep. 15, 2007 My oil painting
OK, OK..... Time for all of you art critics to close your eyes!
Here is my first ever attempt at an oil painting:

I've not had any training in colour, blending or painting in general - and I simply took a wild guess as to actually USE the oil paints, but there we go. I did it, and I really, really enjoyed being out of doors with myself and nature for a while - it was fun!
.
Who knows? Maybe I'll try painting another one someday.
.
God bless,

Sep. 15, 2007 She's finished!
I have finished the rag doll I was making! Her name is 'Julia', compliments of my 7 year old daughter.
Here she is:

I seem to have caught the 'creative bug' this week - I'm working on my first ever oil painting now! Hmmm... well, we shall see!
Have a great day!
