Dec. 3, 2009 - Serving The Seniors/Our Thanksgiving!

Me and my brothers went to the Mayer Senior Center to serve Thanksgiving dinner to the seniors. I'm in 4-H and so 4-H'ers volunteer there as servers. We try to go and serve every year, at Christmas time, too. It is a lot of fun! After we served the dinner there was a auction and Zachary (my brother) bought me a scarf. He said it was for my b-day. :) It is really pretty.

Me and Zach.
We had Thanksgiving Monday night the 30th, because my dad and some of my brothers were gone hunting for deer (by the way they got their deer). We had thanksgiving just with our family.

I made these name tags for everyone with their hand-print.

The food was delicious, THANKS MOM!!!

I placed two leaves at everybody's seat. They wrote what they appreciated about the person on their left and right and then we read them out loud. My mom got a dead manzanita branch to do this. Very cute idea, mom!
After we were done eating we watched home videos of when we were young. That was a lot of fun!
It was a very enjoyable evening. ![]()
Hope everyone had a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving!

I took this picture by myself in my bedroom using the tripod.

Nov. 19, 2009 - Tea Party Club!!
Hello Everyone!!
I posted a while ago about a tea party I hosted in the spirit of Anne of Green Gables, but I didn't tell you that I started a Tea Party Club. Every two months one of the girls host their own tea party. It has been a lot of fun! I also started a scapbook. Whoever is hosting the tea party gets to do three pages in the scrapbook. It is looking great already!
The tea party we had in September was hosted by The Williams.
It was an Arthurian Tea Party!

A group shot.

My sister Audrey is the one in the pink dress. ;)
The girl in the blue dress hosted the tea party.

And this is Lydia; she made the dress she is wearing.

They even had a sword in the cake and I got to pull it out.
Very cute idea!
At the end we all recited poems.
Now the next tea party that we had last Saturday...............
The Scotts hosted this Tea Party.
It was a Little Women Masquerade Tea Party.
A group shot with our masks on. They really made us look diffrent. :)
In the living room there was a table with the gifts that Meg, Joe, Beth and Amy gave to their mother. That was a cute idea! Everybody got a bag of goodies too. :)
They also gave everybody a dollar and then two girls at a time went into the store where with our dollar we could buy two things.
The hostesses.
I am wearing the green dress.
What fun we had at these two tea parties.
So long,

Jul. 10, 2009 - Our Amazing Trip!
You may be wondering why I have not posted for 12 days (at least I think it's that many days). Well it's because we went on a trip to Ohio for a Youth Camp. It was awesome. We took a van load of people in a fifteen passenger van. I am wearing the camo skirt.
My brother Seth was asked to be in a wedding so he is in Ohio right now and going to stay there until the wedding to work. I'll miss him terribly. He had to buy a truck to take up there. So he found a truck for $2,000.
I will tell you what happened on the way up there. The truck that he thought was a totally AWESOME truck turned out to be not quite what he thought it was. While he was driving, his transmission went out so he only had 4th gear to drive in. Then his fuel pump went out, so he had no power. We had a cargo trailer the van was pulling so we towed him and put the trailer behind him.
When we got to a town we found an Auto Zone and worked in their parking lot. It was very hot so the rest of us did not just want to sit in the heat so we went to a Walmart and stayed there for about an hour and a half.
When we came back we saw his truck could turn into a dump truck. Thankfully he was still happy with his truck.

The boys had to push it some times too.

I will write later.

May. 28, 2009 - An Awesome Tea Party!
I hosted a tea party this past week; it was in the spirit of Anne of Green Gables. I gave a lot of my friends invitations . They had a picture of Anne on the front and on the last part of the invitation it said, "Don't be scared off this time. I know it's Raspberry Cordial." Whoever has seen the video's or read the book will know what I am talking about. :)
The tea party was Wednesday. My friend spent the night Tuesday. She was a BIG help. :)

Kaitlyn and me. :)

Here we are making Fruit Kabobs for the tea party.

Time to decorate. Yea!!

My brother was so kind as to use wood burning tools to make the sign. :)
You can't guess what happened. Me and Kaitlyn had it all set up when there was a huge wind that almost blew the tents away. It was raining too.
We had the table set and everything, so we had to take everything inside. We prayed for it to stop and finally it did. ;) We set it back up just as the guests arrived.

Time for some food, Raspberry Cordial and Lemonade. :)
Here are all the ladies.

Here's me! I found this dress at Goodwill for $5.

A tarantula came to visit our tea party!

Afterwards we played some games.

Time for a group shot. :)

Then we were off to the White Sands Hotel (our living room). :)
We had a sign on the front door that said White Sands Hotel.

My mother, Marilla.

We had tea and desserts at the White Sands Hotel, while we watched the girls recite poems.
Hope you liked the pictures. :)

May. 14, 2009 - Mothers Day
After church Sunday (Mothers Day) we came home and packed a picnic lunch. We borrowed a quad from someone at our church and also used one of our own quad. We went up into a canyon by our house way up on Big Bug Mesa. It was tons of fun! Of course it was for Mothers Day. My mom said since my dad took her on a quad ride for Mothers Day then she would take my dad shopping for Fathers Day. :) LOL!!
I have lots of pictures to show you so let's get started. :)
Well, first at church we made a Mothers Day gift in Sunday School.

The poem reads.
My Handprint
Sometimes you get discouraged
Because I'm so small
And always leave my fingerprints
on furniture and walls
But everyday I'm growing big
And soon I'll be very tall
Then all my little handprints
Will be hard to recall
So, here's a special handprint
Just so that you can say
This is how my fingers looked
When I placed them here today

Also, two of my brothers gave my mother roses. She was delighted.

One of the roses broke off.

Then we got the food ready and checked the quads.
Now we are on our way. :)

One quad,

and the crazy boys quad. :)

That is where we are going - all the way to the top. If you look at the mountain from our house it looks way further. It was sooooo steep.
When we got up there we found the perfect picnic spot after some time of searching. LOL We pulled out the Martinelli's apple cider. Yum! Since I am a girl I got the second cup. Mmmm it tasted good. :)

When we were finished eating, out came the Popsicles. :)

When we were finished my mom pulled out a book and started reading.
Okay, this is not how I always look. LOL!! :)

While my mom was reading, me and my younger brother and only sister went and made some funny videos.

Audrey is kissing and hugging the tree. :)

Audrey's gun.

Now it's time to leave. :(

On the way back we saw a rock outcropping that we saw on the way in and thought it looked pretty neat so we stopped and climbed it. The three boys are up there.

It looks like he is on the tree. :)

Me trying to climb. I could not have done it on this side without my brother and dad. Okay, I really need to climb rocks more.

Audrey's hiding at the top. :)

My dad and only sister. Isn't that cute. :)

A nice view.

HEY MOM!!

We made it. LOL!

At the bottom there are some cabin ruins. We think they're from a cowboy even though its pretty much only one corner. I think it's neat imagining that a cowboy once lived there.

My brother said that these rocks were once the chimney. You can see a old hook laying there.

At our house we never see cacti with flowers; they are so pretty.

These are fun. They are so light. :)

We are finally on our way home.

Yea! Were home.
Hope you like the pictures.

Apr. 26, 2009 - 4-H (EXPO)
4-H is in two days.
I saw on my blog I had posted about 4-H in 2008. Wow, a year has gone by already. I get to show my animal Thursday and sell it Saturday. We will be taking our travel trailer and staying there Wednesday - Saturday. :) It is going to be pretty fun although pretty scary. :)
That's all for today.
Serenity
I never got to posting the above and now the 4-H EXPO is over. It ended yesterday. :(
We did stay there all week in our travel trailer.

I won Grand Champion for Confirmation in lamb and Reserve Grand Champion in Showmanship. I won the ribbons a belt buckle, a garment bag and a plaque. :) Both girls are my friends. The one to the right is Ruby. She won Reserve Grand Champion for Confirmation in lamb. Her awards were a blanket and of course a ribbon. The one to the left of me is Mindy. She won two blue ribbons.
I did not have a belt for the belt buckle that I won but Ruby's mom was sooo sweet to go and get me a belt and Ruby some boots. It was a surprise. :)

Seth, my oldest brother, won Grand Champion for Confirmation and Reserve Grand Champion for Showmanship. :) This is his last year so he was verrryyy pleased. :) I am sooo happy we did so well.

Again, my friend Ruby and Mindy and the girl to the right is another friend whose name is Liz. We were just about to show. I was soooo scared.
Saturday was the sale. I got $5.75 a pound. :) Fann Contracting bought my animal. :)
Okay, hope you liked the pictures. :)

Mar. 17, 2009 - OUR NEW PUPPY!!!
Dear Readers,

Treasure our dog has been very lonely. I have been wanting to get a puppy for a long time. :( Finally my mom's friend was in town and she called and said somebody was giving away puppies. My mom said she would like one. Here is our new pup.
I think it is very cute! We named it Cowboy because it is a cattle dog and a boy. Aussie/Shepard mix. That's it for now.
Serenity
P.S. Sorry I have not wrote in a very long time.
Bad of me.

Jan. 9, 2009 - A, For Audrey
Starting off with the letter a. Audrey, my little sister.
Audrey is very sweet and she is so cute - that's only sometimes though. She can be very whiny.
She's my only sister and I love her very much. I've four other brothers. I'm glad I have one sister and instead of none.
She is a candy magnet. If you hide candy in the best hiding places she's bound to find it and take it in due time. Audrey loves baby dolls and my mom got her another one for Christmas. From American Girl (Bitty Baby). She loves it. For her baby doll me and my brother got her a dress.
Isn't she just adorable?

Dec. 15, 2008 - Merry Christmas
MERRY CHRISTMAS

Wishing you the best of Holidays and have a wonderful Christmas. We are going down to Tucson to my cousins house. Fun, fun! My grandparents will be there too.
This a gingerbread house me and my brother made. My smaller brother made one too. Over to the left you can see a melted snowman. (I made that) When you look at it in the picture it doesn't look very good. But it actually looks really cute!

Nov. 15, 2008 - A Little Pie
My grandparents bought my brother some cherry pies, they were tiny. I used the little tin one of them was in and made a small pie myself. I used some extra pizza dough my mom had from that night. It was my own made-up version of a pomagranate pie. :) I love pomegranates. It was really cute. You wanna see a picture? If you do or not, here is a few............................................

Oct. 27, 2008 - Hunting For Elk!!!
This year since I am ten I got to go hunting for elk (you have to be ten to hunt big game). I had to take hunter's safety which I took online (I think I already told you about that.) I did have a field day; it was very fun!
The hunt was from October 16-23. Quite a few people go up to hunting camp from our church. Most of the people leave by Sunday if they got their elk. But I did not tag out, so me and my dad and two brothers stayed. The camp was so empty.
I had to wait till the very last day to tag out.
Only one other family was there. I tagged out in the morning at 6:15 a.m. We were sitting at a water hole in a blind. A blind is a place that you hide in that somebody built with sticks. It was really nice! Here it is.

We had to hike half a mile because it was in an area that was closed to motorized vehicles.

This is me and my brothers packing out my elk.
