Beautiful Girlhood

Apr. 26, 2009 - 4-H (EXPO)

4-H is in two days.   I saw on my blog I had posted about 4-H in 2008.  Wow,  a year has gone by already.  I get to show my animal Thursday and sell it Saturday.  We will be taking our travel trailer and staying there Wednesday - Saturday. :)  It is going to be pretty fun although pretty scary. :)

That's all for today.

I never got to posting the above and now the 4-H EXPO is over.  It ended yesterday. :(

We did stay there all week in our travel trailer.

I won Grand Champion for Confirmation in lamb and Reserve Grand Champion in Showmanship. I won the ribbons a belt buckle, a garment bag and a plaque. :)  Both girls are my friends. The one to the right is Ruby.  She won Reserve Grand Champion for Confirmation in lamb. Her awards were a blanket and of course a ribbon.  The one to the left of me is Mindy.  She won two blue ribbons.

I did not have a belt for the belt buckle that I won but Ruby's mom was sooo sweet to go and get me a belt and Ruby some boots.  It was a surprise. :)

Seth, my oldest brother, won Grand Champion for Confirmation and Reserve Grand Champion for Showmanship. :)  This is his last year so he was verrryyy pleased. :)  I am sooo happy we did so well.

Again, my friend Ruby and Mindy and the girl to the right is another friend whose name is Liz.  We were just about to show. I was soooo scared.

Saturday was the sale.  I got $5.75 a pound. :)  Fann Contracting bought my animal. :)

Okay, hope you liked the pictures. :)

Mar. 17, 2009 - OUR NEW PUPPY!!!

Dear Readers,

Treasure our dog has been very lonely.  I have been wanting to get a puppy for a long time. :(  Finally my mom's friend was in town and she called and said somebody was giving away puppies.  My mom said she would like one.   Here is our new pup.

I think it is very cute!  We named it Cowboy because it is a cattle dog and a boy.  Aussie/Shepard mix.  That's it for now.

P.S.  Sorry I have not wrote in a very long time.   Bad of me.

Jul. 15, 2008 - OUR NEW BABY CHICKS!!!

I have not wrote for a while because we went to Ohio to a youth camp.  After that we went to my grandparents house in Illinois and picked up their furniture; they are moving to Nevada.  I had a lot of fun.

When we got home we saw we had some new baby chicks.   4 of them.  They were cute.  I had let some mothers sit on their eggs.  Today there was only 3 baby chicks.  My brother thought the cats got it.  The other day I found out that another baby chick had died so now there are only 2.

Here is a picture of the baby chicks.

Aug. 16, 2007 - Lambs - Yippee!!!!!

Yesterday we got three lambs for 4-H.  For those of you who don't know what 4-H is, it is where you go show an animal (lamb, goat, pig, steer, chicken, rabbit, turkey) and the judges judge you.  You are judged on conformation of the animal and showmanship, which is how well you show your animal.  After being there for a couple days you sell it at an auction.  It's so much fun.

Here's a picture of my lamb.  I love it so much already :-)

Another picture of my lamb.

A picture of me and my brother's lamb.

I haven't got a name for it yet.  It's a wether ( a male lamb).  So, if you have a name for it, just let me know

Jul. 19, 2007 - Puppies

Our dog, Rosie had puppies about 8 weeks ago.  We found homes for four of them but we still had three left, besides the one we're keeping.  So, we went to KMart to try and find homes for the three we had left.

First, we tried to sell them for $10 a piece but we wanted it to go quick and we weren't sure if people would like to pay $10.  Then pretty quickly we changed the sign to Free Puppies.  We were there a few hours before we gave the last one away.

Me, Justus and Wesley at KMart

Here is the puppy we kept.  I think it looks like it's saying, "I love my home."  We're still trying to think of a name for her.  Any suggestions?  It's a girl.
