Jun. 20, 2009 - That Was Fun! :)

Yea, that was really fun! :)  Me and my friend who was staying at our house at the time went down to Phoenix to go swimming.  It was a lot of fun!  I got to spend the night too. ;)  I just can't wait till the next time.

This is us; I'm in the middle.

We went to a Bible study while we were there.

Afterwards we played volleyball.

May. 14, 2009 - Mothers Day

After church Sunday (Mothers Day) we came home and packed a picnic lunch.  We borrowed a quad from someone at our church and also used one of our own quad.  We went up into a canyon by our house way up on Big Bug Mesa.  It was tons of fun!  Of course it was for Mothers Day.  My mom said since my dad took her on a quad ride for Mothers Day then she would take my dad shopping for Fathers Day. :) LOL!!

I have lots of pictures to show you so let's get started. :)

Well, first at church we made a Mothers Day gift in Sunday School.

The poem reads.

My Handprint

Sometimes you get discouraged

Because I'm so small

And always leave my fingerprints

on furniture and walls

But everyday I'm growing big

And soon I'll be very tall

Then all my little handprints

Will be hard to recall

So, here's a special handprint

Just so that you can say

This is how my fingers looked

When I placed them here today

Also, two of my brothers gave my mother roses. She was delighted.

One of the roses broke off.

Then we got the food ready and checked the quads.

Now we are on our way. :)

One quad,

and the crazy boys quad. :)

That is where we are going - all the way to the top. If you look at the mountain from our house it looks way further.  It was sooooo steep.

When we got up there we found the perfect picnic spot after some time of searching. LOL  We pulled out the Martinelli's apple cider.  Yum!  Since I am a girl I got the second cup.  Mmmm it tasted good. :)

When we were finished eating, out came the Popsicles. :)

When we were finished my mom pulled out a book and started reading.

Okay, this is not how I always look. LOL!! :)

While my mom was reading, me and my younger brother and only sister went and made some funny videos.

Audrey is kissing and hugging the tree. :)

Audrey's gun.

Now it's time to leave. :(

On the way back we saw a rock outcropping that we saw on the way in and thought it looked pretty neat so we stopped and climbed it.  The three boys are up there.

It looks like he is on the tree. :)

Me trying to climb.  I could not have done it on this side without my brother and dad.  Okay, I really need to climb rocks more.

Audrey's hiding at the top. :)

My dad and only sister. Isn't that cute. :)

A nice view.

HEY MOM!!

We made it. LOL!

At the bottom there are some cabin ruins.  We think they're from a cowboy even though its pretty much only one corner. I think it's neat imagining that a cowboy once lived there.

My brother said that these rocks were once the chimney.  You can see a old hook laying there.

At our house we never see cacti with flowers; they are so pretty.

These are fun.  They are so light. :)

We are finally on our way home.

Yea! Were home.

Hope you like the pictures.

Oct. 27, 2008 - Hunting For Elk!!!

This year since I am ten I got to go hunting for elk (you have to be ten to hunt big game).  I had to take hunter's safety which I took online (I think I already told you about that.)  I did have a field day; it was very fun!

The hunt was from October 16-23.  Quite a few people go up to hunting camp from our church.  Most of the people leave by Sunday if they got their elk.  But I did not tag out, so me and my dad and two brothers stayed.  The camp was so empty.  I had to wait till the very last day to tag out.  Only one other family was there.  I tagged out in the morning at 6:15 a.m.  We were sitting at a water hole in a blind.  A blind is a place that you hide in that somebody built with sticks.  It was really nice!  Here it is.

We had to hike half a mile because it was in an area that was closed to motorized vehicles.

This is me and my brothers packing out my elk.

Sep. 17, 2008 - Hunters Safety Field Day!

Have any of you gone to a hunters safety field day?  Well yesterday I went to one; it was fun!  We got to cross fences with fake guns, pretend that we were hunting, track down a deer, then we finally got to shoot with a real .22.  I got to bring my target home, I was able to hit the target so I hope I will hit the elk.   We took a test and I passed.  If somebody did not pass they went over and helped them pass.  I am going hunting in month for elk, yea!

Jul. 24, 2008 - A Graduation

Her poster board that she made is the one in the background that is green with the horse.  She does a really good job at drawing horses. :)

Here is the graduate.

She was graduating from 9th grade.  Her graduation was at the Homeschool Convention.  After the ceremony we went to the Hotel and had some snacks and dessert. :)

May. 16, 2008 - COLORADO!!!

We went to Estes Park, Colorado and rented a huge house.  It even had a indoor basketball court.  We went there for my grandparents 50th Anniversary and all my cousins were there; they came from PA and AZ.

Wednesday the 7th.  We went to Celestial Seasonings, that is a tea factory.  When we were on the tour we went into a spearmint room. When you went in it made your eyes water because it was so strong.  After, they had a video and you got to taste tea.

Thursday the 8th.  We hiked Gem Lake, 1.6 miles.  It seemed like a very long hike.  Ha! Ha!   At the top there was a lake.

Friday the 9th.  It was my grandparents 50th anniversary.  All of us grand-kids had to take the grandparents out while the moms made preparations.  We took them to a lake and rented a little carriage with pedals.  The boys pedaled it while Grandma and Grandpa sat in it.  All of the rest of us kids rode bikes.  When we got home the house was decorated.  Then later we did a program, I played Pachelbel's Cannon on the piano.  All of us grand-kids did a little skit of them on their first date and so on.  We also watched a slide show.

Saturday the 10th.  Some of us girls went downtown shopping.   Well, we girls went shopping, the boys went fishing.  I got a shirt that said Colorado on it.

Sunday the 11th.  We went to church and then after went to some friends' house for a pot-luck.

Monday the 12th.  We drove to a church camp then drove all the way up Longs Peak and then rode down with our bikes.  It was almost all down hill.

Tuesday the 13th.  We hiked up Alberta Falls.  There was a lot of snow but was packed down a lot.  It was fun at first but we kept on slipping, then it got very cold.  When we got back from hiking we were going to ride our bikes down the mountain. It was snowing and I could barely see and my hands were freezing and very numb, so I got in the car but some of them stayed out.

Wednesday the 14th we went to Casa Bonita.  A couple of families came along with us.  Inside they had a water fall and had divers that did some short acts.  They had a cave too.  Inside the cave it was dark and they made it scary.

Thursday the 15th.  Odyssey!!!  Now that was so much fun!   There was a 3 story slide that had a bunch of turns, it was covered and it went outside then back in.  We did a Scavenger hunt and just had lots of fun!

Well it really has been a very fun week.

May. 2, 2008 - 4-H Lambs

In the last post I told you that 4-H was coming up, well it has already gone by.  This year I raised a lamb.  When I showed him I got last place in Conformation and in Showmanship I got 3rd from last.   I guess I need to practice more.

My brother Seth also raised a lamb and got Senior Grand Champion Showman.  So he had to do Round Robin which is where you show dog, horse, steer, lambs, pigs and goats.  In Round Robin he got  Senior Reserve Grand Champion.  Wesley also raised a lamb.

I sold my lamb for $5 a pound.

It has been a fun week.

Jan. 4, 2008 - Starting off the New Year Learning to Sew

I  can't believe it is already 2008.

My brother Zachary sprained his ankle last year when he was playing wally ball.  So he has had to hop around until we finally got some crutches for him.  He is walking now, just started today.  I have been playing on his crutches. (It's fun!!!)

This is a skirt I made with  two of my friends.  We went to a quilting store where they were giving a class on how to sew this skirt.  It was a lot of fun and it only took us a day to finish!  We got to pick out our material which was so hard.

Here's just a picture that I thought was cute of my baby sister.

I just got back from my Grandparents house.  My Grandma taught me a little bit of sewing.  I mean quite a lot.  I never tried to sew before but when I did at her house I found it is quite FUN and so far it is not too hard.  Thank goodness.  I sewed a dress for my sister with a purse to match  and a night gown for myself.  I made purses for my sister and me out of my nightgown material.

When I left Sunday my Grandpa drove half-way to meet my Dad in Kingman.  We had supper at Cracker Barrel.  Yum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here are some pictures of my time there.

Sep. 8, 2007 - Circus Time!

Today we went to the Circus.

It was very amusing.  You could not look away.  ha ha.

We saw........

Tight rope walkers who walk on a rope that is really high off the ground.  They even rode a bicycle on it and sat on chairs (really amazing).

Then we saw Upside Down World, where two people came out of a house and were walking upside-down.  They then juggled downward instead of toward their heads.

There was a trapeze too, and lots more.   We got there at 6:30 and it ended at about 9:20 p.m.

Oh, I can't forget the clowns.  They were so funny.

There were horses that this lady had so much control over and not even one of them had a rope attached.  She just had a whip, did not even hit them, just hit the ground a little and they knew what to do.  There was an elephant that sat down, layed down and most of the time a lady was sitting on its trunk.

Here is the pictures.

Me and One of the Clowns

Me and My Brother Justus

Tight rope walkers (sitting on chairs)

Really amazing guys.  They could bend their legs all different directions.

We saw some more but did not get  pictures of everything.  I did want to put a video on but my mom did not know how.  She wants to find out soon. :)
