Song of the Sunrise

Posted in My Poetry

In the quiet of the waking

Shadows slowly

Whispers deepen

Silence in the dawn-rays

Grass blows gently

All becoming

Trees sigh softly

Almost gone

Gone away

Wind that dances on the prairie

Sing for joy!

Sing the song!

Birds that welcome in the morning

Join the song!

Sing along!

As the stars describe the nighttime

So the light describes the song

So the dawn

Wow, thanks so much for letting me know about what you thought, and I understand your feelings on the school part of the book. I wrote those parts mainly to give a glimpse into the characters overall (like what their strengths and weaknesses are), introduce some major-minor characters of the series (if you can follow me there), and bring in some things that will be very important later.

I did not want to make my series seem as if I'm writing a story mimicking Harry Potter, because I'm -not-, so I decided to only have one book covering their basic Clan education. The next book will cover their Apprenticeships, which involve one-on-one instruction with a Rahm (teacher) and a boat load of other O.O stuff (if I can attempt to briefly sum it up).

I have a favor to ask. If you bought the book off of Amazon could you leave a review? It doesn't have to be in depth or anything, just a simple one would be a big help to me. Thanks so much for buying it and reading it. ^^ :D. I still can't believe you read it so fast.

So, I'm curious, whose your favorite character, if you have one? Why? Do you have any ones you don't like?

So how far are you on your book? How long have you been working on it?

Good luck on continuing (and finishing) your book. Keep me informed of its progress.

My dear Cherise! Where have you vanished to? You haven't updated in about a week, which wouldn't alarm me, except that you haven't updated your word count for The Poet of Aenywroe, so I know you can't have vanished into there! Could it be that you have fallen into a trap, and vanished into, into... the real world! *gasps* Please PM me when you get this comment so I can know that you are safe!

Hello Cherise! I'm so sorry I've been away for so long....I seem to be having trouble keeping up with HSB lately! The three columns are looking great....I just love how you display your wordcount!! I think I'll put that on my blog also. Haha, if yours is up to date, we are almost exactly the same...but you're a bit ahead ;-).
Anyhow, I hope to talk to you soon!

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner, I'm really excited about FAD, so I've been calling Queen Flora every free moment I get. You see, we've changed the plot a bit, it's basically the same thing, but there are a few big changes. Right now we have about 31,558 words. But we're writing more almost everyday now, so it's going to change, of course! When will you update your story blog? I really want to read it!

Hello,

My name is Kylie, I am 12 years old. Among other things, I love God, Narnia, writing, and reading. I think we might have just a bit in common. ;)

I am friends with Beth aka writer4him, and I've been reading your blog off and on for quite a while. I finally decided to make your acquaintance. I think you have a splendid blog, and your writings are deeper than most but quite enjoyable to read. You seem like you have a kind attitude and a smart mind, and I think that I would enjoy being friends with you. So would you like to be friends?

I am sorry if that sounded too eloquent, but I wanted something a bit more specific than "want to be friends". :) Plus, I enjoy trying out my immense span of vocabulary and using it to its full potential to articulate myself. :P

Have a great weekend!

Blessings,
~Miss Kylie
