Prayer For The President

 I have decided to make a button for all my dear blogging friends who would like to join me in praying for our new president, Barak Obama. (the code is in the first comment!) We are called to pray and respect our leaders. By putting this button on your blog you are joining other bloggers whom are lifting up our new Presidnt in prayer for a few minutes each day. Here are a few main points to pray about if you are unsure...

• Wisdom for Barack as he makes choices and decisions.
• Peace and joy for his daughters and wife as this is a completly new situation for them.
• That God would put people into his life that would shine Gods light into his life and that he may come to know God. 

Leviticus 19:32

~'Rise in the presence of the aged, show respect for the elderly and revere your God. I am the LORD.

Ephesians 1:17-19

~I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.

2 Chronicles 7:14

~If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

I have been praying for him a lot lately, mostly that he would be saved! I keep praying that God will get a hold of his heart one way or another... wouldn't it be completely AWESOME if he trusted Christ?! It makes me excited just thinking about it!! Okay, I'll put your button on my sidebar -- remind me if I forget. *grin*

I saw your button on alizona's blog and clicked... I'm glad I did! This is a really great idea! I might participate... I don't know.

We also need to ask God to bless Obama. After all, if he's blessed, our country will be blessed, right? =)
