M-Fuge 2009!!!
Hey Everyone...sry it has taken me so long to put this entry together i have been sick (which i will tell you about at the end of my entry!). So I went to Greenville, South Carolina this past week with a group of awesome amazing people i am glad to call my friends. We went to a missions camp called M-Fuge. Which is like a camp and missions trip all in one! So my adventure started last Monday the 27th when i had to get up at 5 am and go to the church where i would meet with the group. We had 19 people going and took 2 minivans and a suburban...cramped spaces!! so we left around like 6:45 am and had 8 hours of traveling ahead of us. The car trip was so much fun. We listened to music made crazy signs to hold out the windows at the other cars (u will see what i mean in the slide-show), and well slept. When we got to our destination, which was North Greenville University we singed in and picked the top 3 ministry tracks we wanted to do. I choose 1. Children, 2. Social, 3. Creative. Then we went to our "suites"....ha ha ok dorms. Since it was a college M-Fuge was using, there were 2 beds in each room, 2 desk, 2 closets and a sink and then we shared a bathroom with an adjoining room. It was nice! : ) For the sake of my keyboard and your time I wont go through each day at camp. I was put in childrens ministry with one person from my church. There were like 26 people all together in my ministry group. Each day we would have group bible study and then we would prepare/ get stuff ready to go out each day and minster to children. Our leader from M-Fuge who had been leading this ministry group has been taking teams to this playground/ apartment complex area for 4 weeks now. So the kids pretty much know Brooke, who was the leader, and are excited about hangin out with us. The week went great. We did face painting, crafts, bible stories, games...all kinds of stuff. I met this one girl who was really sweet. Her name was Teresa. She was 8 and 1/2, she just had to get the 1/2 when i asked her! She was just so smart and had such a sure and smart attitude. Well I think that is pretty much what I did. There were alot of kids in other groups who accepted Chirst that week. Nobody at our site did. But I know that we planted seeds and that God is going to grow them and bless the children. So my friends Kim and Victoria were sick on the car ride home from M-Fuge. We all thought that they were just car sick. Well Kim got sicker and so the next day when she got home she went to the doctor and was tested positive with Swine Flu. So our leaders told us all to go the doctors just to make sure. So it was crazy my mom made appt. for both my sister and I to go. They said that my mom would have to go get us mask to wear into the office and then when we got inside they escorted us straight into a room and we were seen right away. Well I tested positive with Swine Flu and Emy didnt but we both got perscribed med. and then we went home. So i am still not 100% but im doing better. I put a pic. of me in the mask at the end of the slideshow...it makes me look like a duck...ha ha! Well thats all...enjoy!
