October is near!

Its getting close to the fall fest...We always love the festive atmosphere of fall. The gold, orange and browns are beautiful this time of year. We are planning on taking a fall break and relaxing a little. I think we have worked hard and need the R&R.

Math math math

Posted in My Home

This is my battle for this year...I have enrolled my son in a collage math course in hopes he will get a better understanding of MATH (algebra).....He has done quite well so far but, I think he needs a little more than what I can help him with. Plus any credits he gets while he is going to collage as a duel enrolled student will apply to his collage of choice.  So money well spent I say....Please leave comments if you have any suggestions or advice. it would be greatly appreciated..

Its Summer again!

We have had the best school year! My son Zach has learned so much this year. He is growing into a fine young man. Homeschool has been the best thing I have ever done. I am looking forward to next year and the new challenges we will face.  Driving will be one of them..He will get him license in September. I hope and pray I have taught him enough about road safety. I hope everyone has a wonderful summer..

Happy Mothers Day!!

TO ALL THE WONDERFUL MOM'S IN THE WORLD!

Mother's are the sweetest delicate of all.
She knows more of paradise
Than angels can recall.

She's not only beautiful
But passionately young,
Playful as a kid, yet wise
As one who has lived long.

Her love is like the rush of life,
A bubbling, laughing spring
That runs through all like liquid light
And makes the mountains sing.

And makes the meadows turn to flower
And trees to choicest fruit.
She is at once the field and bower
In which our hearts take root.

She is at once the sea and shore,
Our freedom and our past.
With her we launch our daring ships
Yet keep the things that last.

Hope you have a wonderful Mothers Day weekend!

Almost finished!

Posted in My Home

We have almost made it though the school year. We have 2 more books in each subject to finish up. I am so looking foward to spring and summer. I am going to visit my oldest son in Florida. He is stationed at MacDill AFB. This is so much better than North Dokota..to cold for my blood..I will get to spend some time with my grand children. And my homeschool son will have a ball. His brother will take him on a tour around the AF base. What are you planning for the summer. I am sure when we get back I will be just plain ole lazy..

Love and Peace

My Two Sons and a Cuz...

ZACH(my son)                CUz                    ADAM(son)(USAF) our short but sweet visit last summer......You can see he is not used to this Alabama weather..look at the other guys dressed in shorts..I think it was about 90 degrees that day...He refused to put on summer clothes. He has been stationed in North Dakota for six years. Now he is in Tampa..WOW what a change. He loves the Air Force Base in Tampa. The kids can get out and enjoy the sunshine, and fresh air...

Talk for the day 4-24-06

Posted in My Home

Give me a moment

To realize that your there,

Give me a reason to know that you care,

Whisper to me softly and tell me about your heart,

How it pounds when were together and aches when were apart.

Send me flowers with delicious notes of love.

Reach into the sky and hand me the stars above.

Blow me a bubble with your dreams inside, of you and I inseparable with no

Feelings to hide.

Tell me and promise me I’m the only one.

That you’ll love me forever beyond the fiery sun

Like the flowers that bloom in the early spring.

Our love is a delicate and slowly blooming thing once fresh and so innocent to the

World’s sight. Given the new kiss of dew in early morning light.

It sends me to turmoil to sleep without you by my side, to not hear you breath

Feeling part of me has died.

Knowing that I’ll never deserve another.

Hearing you in the wind and feeling you in my skin.

Taking your memory with me to my last dying breath

My love never parting til the day of my death

LOVES MUSIC

Posted in My Home

My 14 year old soon to be 15 year old son Zach. He loves music and art. He plays the guitar and drums. Its sad though because he has no friends that have any musical talent. So he is stuck just playing alone. He spends hours learning a new song and then he goes out to the garage and plays his drums for a while. All his friends love to hear him play. We are finished with homeschool for this year. If any one that reads this would like to post some Curriculum advise for electives and Homeschool curriculum on CD it would be greatly appreciated. This is our first year and I am sure there are some more experienced homeschool parents that has some great ideas to share with us. Please leave comments for us. We will be starting 9th grade in August. I am really undecided about what curriculum I want to use. Have a wonderful summer and be safe. May God Bless You!

Just hanging out..

Posted in My Home

This is his 2007 school picture

He loves music, And Art...He thinks I am to over protective but

really I am not. I am just a Mom that cares. I have come across some really nice and cool people on here. We are in the 10th grade this year and still use

alpha omega. Although Zakk attends a community collage taking algebra as a duel

enrollment student. He feels he is learning math a lot better this way and enjoys the quite and peaceful class room with older students "there to learn not to play"...
