Our Vacation Trip to Grant's Farm

We went to St. Louis on vacation a few weeks ago.  While we were there, we went to a place called "Grant's Farm."  It was called that because at one time the farm belonged to Ulysses S. Grant.  Here is a picture of his log cabin.  It has a fence made of rifles from the Civil War.

It has a large animal preserve with lots of exotic animals. Here's the Indian House for the cows that are sacred in India.  There's some of the cows in the picture too.

The farm also has lots of animals that you can pet and feed. Here's my sister petting a minature horse.

We also got to bottle feed the baby goats.  My sister is in the background. I think a goat knocked her over.

We had lots of fun.  Join Mrs. Mary  for more fun show and tells.

Cool about that fence! What a lot of fun with the goats. Except for being knocked over! I'm so sure we went there....but these pictures don't look at all familiar to me. I even knew it was at St. Louis when you said Grant's farm. What's wrong with my memory?? .....I guess it would have been back in '91. Hm. Now I feel like I have to go back and look for my pictures. Thanks for stirring up a memory.

What a really neat trip. The fishing trip looked like great fun too. The log building made me wish we were still in America! Deb
