Chapter Two of the Stormblade  by Elizabeth

Chapter Two: Explanations     It was night by the time they reached their destination in the Dark Forest. It was a camp, made up of dozens of tents and campfires. Drake immediately stalked into a large green tent, flinging the cloth door shut behind him.   Fox raised his eyebrows at Reba expressively, than smiled as he noticed Ming watching him. “Sorry.” His tone was apologetic. “I don’t know what’s gotten into him, but I’ll talk to him later. Meanwhile,” he clapped his hands. “Let’s eat!”   They followed him to a campfire where a deer-like animal (more)

Rain  by Jenne

It's raining.  No really, it is honest to goodness raining.  In Arizona. In May.   Bunny went outside to see what the deal was and was stunned.  It has been months since he has seen water come from the sky.  He didn't quite know what to think of it.  Misterman looked at the rain for 3 seconds and went back to his video game.  Bookworm thought it was neat and walked around in it for a while and is now back inside. I love the sound of rain.  I love the sound of cars splashing in the street.  I love walking in (more)

Before Common Era??????  by kidcraze

We just watched a video, Timelines of Ancient Civilizations, and i am just flustered about one main issue.  Since when did "they" stop calling B.C. Before Christ?  It is now referred to as B.C.E. or Before Common Era.   For A.D.  it is now simply C.E., meaning Common Era.  "They" are removing Christ from every aspect it seems.  Apparently we truly are entering the Post Christian Era.  Maybe you all noticed this long ago, but it was the first time i have come across these terms for historical dates/time.  I am angry about it, honestly.  Somewhat stunned, though i shouldn't be (more)

Our Mother’s day sermon was delivered by…       Me:-)   This was my first official sermon, though I have been in front of the church since birth singing or teaching.   God began working with me on this sermon a long time ago, though I didn’t realize it was a sermon until I was asked to give speak this Mother’s day.   I spoke about what a mother’s job is. The link to our church’s sermon blog, including audio, is here. Hope you enjoy.  (more)

....a little rain must fall....  by Theresa

You know that pithy "Into each life a little rain must fall" saying?  Well, I'd like to dump a bucket of rainwater over the head of its author. It's been coming down by buckets for the past several days and it's really getting on my nerves!  But at least now, we're at another campsite which is MUCH nicer and the showers are cricket free. I really should be writing some country music these days.  Caleb's got poison ivy, the AC/Heater gave up the ghost and we are all very tired with the rain.  (Oops.  I mentioned the rain once already, eh?) A few (more)

Los olores  by Kathleen

Los olores - scents - can be one of our most pleasurable senses (and sometimes one of the least!).  Let's talk about how we talk about smells and scents in Spanish.  The irregular verb oler is used to say something smells good or bad, or smells like something else.  When conjugated in present tense, the verb oler turns into huele (singular) or huelen (plural).  I don't usually write out pronunciations on this blog, because it is often awkward, but huele is a word most folks needs a little help with the first time they encounter it.  Huele is pronounced way-lay, (more)

I'm Sorry...  by Kerry

I'm sorry if I confused you about the goodies I have this week.  I thought I made myself clear, but sometimes when you read something over & over you don't realize when you've actually confused someone. So, let me try again to explain... I am giving away free to anyone who signs up . . . my special report on education and my audio workshop. I love books and I wanted to do something special for National Children's Book Week.  So, I decided to also give away some classic ebooks that I compiled.  These are available to everyone who gets my Raising Leaders (more)

Tortuga!  by Lillian Sparrow

Okay, hopefully your tuned into my blog for this is the first adventure to be told. Right know my dad is...... well truthfully I don't know where he is! He is supposed to be sailing to the Isla De Murta as captain of the Black Pearl. But he quit writing me a fews months ago. Anyway, I sailed to Tortuga. (I am under the instruction of no captain.... no one would take me! Wonder why?) I couldn't think of a place to go so I decided Tortuga. I mean atleast I can, shall we say, borrow some gold from the filthy (more)

Maiden's Library  by maidenofvirtue

Pearl Maiden By H. Rider Haggard This is an excellent tale of a young Christian woman named Miriam, living in A.D. 70 in the Roman Empire during the first century after Christ. As Miriam faces hardships and fiery trials, her faith is continually strengthened by God. Plot: She has several young men "after" her, but she will not marry someone that is not serving God. Her grandfather had murdered her parents by handing them over to the Romans to be martyred, and yet she must go live with him! The events portrayed are awesome examples of faith for any girl, teen, or adult. (more)

I've been blogging for quite a long time ...first on my website, then on blogger.com.

It was fun to blog, but I was just a bit lonely out there. I love what you're doing on HomeschoolBlogger.com!

It is a great community and makes one feel as a blogger that you are not alone in the blogging world.

I love to write blogs, but lately I've been reading HomeschoolBlogger blogs so much that my house is messy!
