Mar. 25, 2008 - Any Ambleside Online users?

I have been looking at Ambleside Online for a few years now.  Anyone use their curriculum suggestions?

I really want to keep Lulu and Monkey together for history and science.  Most of what I read on their website and on the yahoo groups discourages this.  If you use AO or have some suggestions as to what approach you would take I am open to them.

Also, what do you think about doing the same time frame in history back to back?  I know Monkey is not ready for year3.  If I do them both together I am thinking about year2.  We are doing SOTW vol. II this year.  So alot of our history next year would be a repeat.  Any thoughts?

Perhaps if your girls liked particular sections of history this year and you think they'd not be bored repeating, you could expand on those parts and do more indepth unit studies on them next year. I never seem to have time to do all the fun crafts in SOTW. Just a thought...
