Oct. 21, 2008 - BFS #106 - Have It Your Way!

Memory Verse: Isaiah 40: 1- Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.

Intro: “Have It Your Way” (Burger King)  - As cooler weather approaches and the winter eases into our doors I like to lounge by the fire after a hot shower.  I love to make soups that are brimming with a rich and full flavor.  In our home there’s nothing better than a hot bowl of soup or and a hot cup of coffee or cocoa on a cold winter night.

Assignment: Tell us all about how your have “your” relaxing time, more especially how during the cooler months you take time to curl up with your favorite movie, book, Bible study, and what your favorite warm drink would be.

I have my "relaxing" time first thing in the morning.  That is the only time I have that is my own.  And sometimes it's not my own either!  For the most part though I am up before the girls.  I have my Bible time then.  I am currently doing Beth Moore's Bible study on Daniel with a group of ladies at church.

It is an awesome study.  Learning to recognize the pull of my own "Babylon" has been good.

My favorite warm drink is hazelnut flavored coffee.

"They all ate the same spiritual food and drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and that rock was Christ."

I Corinthians 10:3-4

Now you're talking siesta! I loved this study-learned tons...but by far my fav, up to this point is the Patriarchs. Who knew the old timers were so interesting? I am soooooo excited that Esther will be available soon....oooooh Beth is awesome. You may enjoy her David study too, if you haven't already done that one...altho it is more an individual study. Blessings.

I love the Beth Moore studies. I only have my own time in the middle of the night...but that's about to change....I've joined a women's group and will be having a couple of hours to myself at least once or twice a month. Thanks for sharing with us.

I loved this study.....it really had me refocus on so many things in my life! The second half was very interesting from a historical point of view and has helped me recently in my Revelation study we are doing in my Sunday school class. It also gave me the opportunity to challenge my kids to learn some "new" things from Daniel. That is one thing I can say from her studies, I can take them (info in the study) and put it into small bites for my kids. Not only do they get it, but it is relevant, too. Love her and her ministry. Thanks for sharing, Michelle

Hey, my favorite coffee is hazelnut, too! I can't get it where I live, but some friends sent a big bag of it down this past summer, so I've been spoiled! ;^)

I got to see some of that Beth Moore study at my Mom-in-law's church last year. Great stuff!! Enjoy!
