Thanks Cindy for the award! I am going to pass the award on to Love's School and Freedom Academy. All the other blogs I looked at have already received the award.
Homeschool Blog Awards is getting ready for another year of blog awards. They are starting a new program this year. Nominations will begin in October sometime.
Check out their site so you can nomiate your favorites!
This is what the person that created this award says about it: "The thing that I love most about blogging is that I learn so much about a person just by reading their blog. I have met MANY wonderful people with wonderful stories to tell, and I am grateful every dayfor each person that I have the pleasure of crossing paths in life with.I wanted to create something special for the top ten people who have inspired me through their blogging; the stories they tell, and the lives that they lead with grace and dignity. I visit their blogs for inspiration and encouragement. Please grab your badge and wear it(with a smile) proudly, and pass it on because you inspire and encourage me, thank you."
I am passing the award on to thefollowing because their blogs always make me smile. They share the joys of homeschooling in a way that would make anyone smile.
My other choices have already received the award from someone else. I feel very blessed to have so many encouraging homeschool friends, those whom I know personally and those who are only a click away.
I just checked my email and boy did I have a great suprise waiting for me. Kim at A Place To Call Home nominated me for the "Nice Matters" Award. Thank you so much. It feels really good to know that someone is, first of all, reading your blog and secondly enjoying it. I am honored.
"This award is for those bloggers who are nice people; good blog friends and those who inspire good feelings and inspiration. Also for those who are a positive influence on our blogging world.”
Now I am supposed to nominate five people for the "Nice Matters" award. I am nominating:
May. 9, 2007 - Seven Things You May Not Know About Me
My friend Cindy tagged me. Here's how it works: Each player starts with 7 random facts/habits about themselves. People who are tagged need to write on their own blog about their seven things, as well as these rules. You need to tag two others and list their names. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them that they have been tagged and to read your blog! (BTW, make sure you visit Cindy's blog...she has a lot of really neat ideas!)
I watched my husband at our church and even told my friends he would be my husband someday. I was too shy to actually talk to him. A year later, by way of someone else, we went on our first date.
I have a bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems from Georgetown College...and I've never used it!
My ears are two different shapes.
I actually went to a Vanilla Ice concert when I was in Junior High. How embarrassing! I even had a pair of "Hammer pants".
I never would have guessed that I would be homeschooling my children. I always assumed that I would work full time and help with homework.
I almost drowned when I was four years old. I was in a pool with adults. When my Mom came back from the restroom she saw my hair sticking up out of the water. She jumped in and pulled me out. She saved my life.......and then threw me back in kicking and screaming. Isn't that just like a Mom?
Welcome to our blog! I hope you enjoy your visit. We are a homeschooling family of 5. Our approach is eclectic, but leaning more and more towards Charlotte Mason. Our girls are 9, 7, and 4. Never a dull moment as we desire to teach our girls in the ways of the Lord.
