Jan. 25, 2008 - I've Been Tagged

My friend at Nancy's Nook has tagged me.  The rules for this meme are:

(1) Link to the person that tagged you.  √

(2) Post the rules on your blog.  √

(3) Share six non-important things/habits/quirks about yourself.  √

(4) Tag six random people at the end of your post by linking to their blogs.  √

(5) Let each random person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their website.

Six non-important things/habits/quirks about me:

(1)  I do not like feet.

(2) I would rather be laying on a beach watching my girls play than doing just about anything else.

(3) I have never used my Bachelor's Degree , and probably never will.

(4) My legs/feet are constantly moving.

(5) I have a hard time touching raw meat.

(6) I recently had 15 inches cut off my hair.

I am going to tag flysister and freedomliving.

Sep. 28, 2007 - Smile Award

Lynn at Camelot Homestead Academy has blessed me with the You Make Me Smile Award.  Thanks Lynn!!!

This is what the person that created this award says about it:  "The thing that I love most about blogging is that I learn so much about a person just by reading their blog. I have met MANY wonderful people with wonderful stories to tell, and I am grateful every day for each person that I have the pleasure of crossing paths in life with.I wanted to create something special for the top ten people who have inspired me through their blogging; the stories they tell, and the lives that they lead with grace and dignity. I visit their blogs for inspiration and encouragement. Please grab your badge and wear it(with a smile) proudly, and pass it on because you inspire and encourage me, thank you."

I am passing the award on to the following because their blogs always make me smile.  They share the joys of homeschooling in a way that would make anyone smile.

Just Call Me Jamin

The Learning Never Stops

My other choices have already received the award from someone else.  I feel very blessed to have so many encouraging homeschool friends, those whom I know personally and those who are only a click away.

May. 9, 2007 - Seven Things You May Not Know About Me

My friend Cindy tagged me.  Here's how it works: Each player starts with 7 random facts/habits about themselves. People who are tagged need to write on their own blog about their seven things, as well as these rules. You need to tag two others and list their names. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them that they have been tagged and to read your blog!  (BTW, make sure you visit Cindy's blog...she has a lot of really neat ideas!)

  1. I watched my husband at our church and even told my friends he would be my husband someday.  I was too shy to actually talk to him.  A year later, by way of someone else, we went on our first date.
  2. I have a bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems from Georgetown College...and I've never used it!
  3. My ears are two different shapes.
  4. I actually went to a Vanilla Ice concert when I was in Junior High.  How embarrassing!  I even had a pair of "Hammer pants".
  5. I never would have guessed that I would be homeschooling my children.  I always assumed that I would work full time and help with homework.
  6. I almost drowned when I was four years old.  I was in a pool with adults.  When my Mom came back from the restroom she saw my hair sticking up out of the water.  She jumped in and pulled me out.  She saved my life.......and then threw me back in kicking and screaming.  Isn't that just like a Mom?
  7. I could live on Mac and Cheese!
