What Is The Online Christmas Party?
The Lilliput Station Online Christmas Party is a blog meme hosted by Melissa Telling of Lilliput Station Adventures. It is a way for homeschoolers (and our friends) all over the world to get together and share some Christmas spirit. It is a place to gather new ideas, new recipes, and maybe a few new traditions. It is a time of fellowship and fun, a time to share the love of Christ with all of our online friends. It is our way of making the season a little brighter for those we have never met, but still feel as if we know.
Due to the "busy"ness of the season, the Online Christmas Party will take place during the month of November this year. Hopefully this will give everyone more time to participate, and give us all more time to do the neat crafts and activities that everyone shares.
My recipe idea is really simple. The past few years we have made chocolate covered pretzels for the girls' teachers at co-op and at church. Very inexpensive and simple to make.
Ingredients: Bag of pretzels, block of chocolate, sprinkles
Melt the chocolate in a double broiler. Coat the pretzels with chocolate. Let the kids put on the sprinkles. After they have dried, put them in cute little bags.
We always get lots of thanks for these treats. It makes the girls feel good, too, to know that they made them.

There is a great contest going on at The Company Porch.
Salem Ridge Press is a publishing company, established in November, 2005, dedicated to bringing back quality children's books of the 1800's and early 1900's for a new generation of readers. As homeschoolers ourselves, we work hard to find and republish the very best books available so that we can help you provide books for your family that you can feel good about giving them.
A few months ago we sponsored a contest through The Old Schoolhouse Magazine and were delighted with the interest it generated. We are striving to build our reputation with homeschoolers as a trusted source of excellent books, both for use as history supplements and simply for great reading. Our hope is that once families have the opportunity to see and read one of our books, they will come back for more.
