Fresh Start

Hi All,

I have not been blogging for a long time. So I am going to start again.

We are still Home schooling, Only now there are just two left out of the eight. Daughter number four has just started College and first time job (cashier at Sears). She is only carring one class (math) for this fall. But will up it to two in Jan. So I only have Sons three(11 grade) and four (7th grade) homeschooling.

We have been spending more time outside than inside with books at this time as the weather and fall have been so nice. We do a lot of exploring in the forest preserves by us. Also a few fishing trips with Dad.

Over the summer we have done a little home improvements. We have put in three new windows. Painted the kitchen. Up dated the upstairs Bath.

One of the books we are studing is "The Genesis Record" by Morris. It is amazing how much science is in the first chapter alone. You have space-matter-time continuum. Energy, gravity, and nuclear forces. Primeval hydrosphere , atmosphere for the terrestrial sphere. Earth's lithosphere and plant biosphere. The Celestial sphere. All of this is to prepare the world for living creatures. You could spent a life time just studing the science of the first three days of creation!!!!

Another book we are reading is James Ussher's Classic Survey of the World History. "The Annals ofthe World". It also starts with the book of Genesis and ends at about 73A.D.

These two books alone are what my 7th grader will be using for Bible, Science, and History for the next two or three years.

Got to run and do some laundry (It ain't going to do it's self) and some more cleaning done.
