November almost gone?

Wow, It has been sometime since I have done any blogging on this. Sorry everyone.

We have been busy with daily school and preparing for the Holidays. I have been having the kids do indiviual work on the subjects of Bible, Math, Reading, Writing, but for History and Science we have been doing Unit Studies.

For History last month we did Christopher Columbus. We did aStudy of his life. Looked up all the places on the map he went to. Did some google searches.

Spiders was the theme for Science. My one Child's speciality and it fit right in with Halloween of course.

This month has been just the basic core of Bible, math, writting, reading. Well you could add in cooking for Thanksgiving, and now crafts for Christmas projects and gifts.

Starting Dec. I would like to read the Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis with my 16yr daughter and then go into her Christmas present of his Space Triology : Out of the Silent Planet , Perelandra: A Novel, and That Hideous Strength: A Modern Fairy-Tale for Grown-Ups . My understanding of these three books are about good and evil. The starting of a whole new beginning on another planet(like creation starting over)

For the two boys I will do the Cronicles of Narnia.
