Post Surgery UpdatePosted at 2:57 PM on Apr. 29, 2007
We (my dad, Bryan, Shannon and I) just returned from the wedding of one of my childhood friends in central Iowa, so I thought I would give you an update.
Leave a Note
We learned a little bit more about the surgery as the doctors had time to sit and talk about it. Friday afternoon my dad had a chance to visit with the liver doctor and he said that there was a small part of her liver that was taken. My dad also learned that there were two sections of the colon taken not just the one. Mom's still hasn't eaten anything due to nausea, so her stay in the hospital many be longer than we first expected. Please pray that her digestive system will soon allow her to take on nourishment, and that they will be able to continue to keep her discomfort under control. Thank you so much for checking up on my mom and for continuing to pray for her recovery. Blessings to you all, Amber for the Moellers Untitled CommentPosted by dunnfamily at 11:15 AM on Apr. 30, 2007

I wanted you to know we are praying for you all many times a day. We were really glad to be able to visit your mom on Saturday. We went to encourage her and came away feeling blessed ourselves. Even though she was not feeling well, she still had the joy of the Lord -- He was very present in that room! We will continue to pray for her healing. Not sure if you want any advice, but from experience, if they're giving you percocet for pain relief, that stuff always made me SO sick. Darvocet was a lot easier on the system. Also, something like phenergan or compozine might ease the nausea and I think it's a lot lower cost than zofran, which is also pretty good stuff.
