Prayer Basket: The Journey Continues

Our momma, Colleen Moeller, was first diagnosed with ovarian cancer on September 28, 2005. After a valiant fight, our beloved was called Home to be with our Lord on August 2, 2008. This blog was started to keep our family and friends abreast of developments and prayer needs for our family. We love you all and thank you for coming before the Throne on our behalf. We plan to continue to share about our family and our precious Colleen.

Doctor Appointment

Posted at 7:54 PM on Oct. 4, 2005

The overwhelming tide of love and prayer that has come from all of you has been a blessing I cannot describe. We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.

We will be going to Loyola University Medical Center, in Chicago, to their cancer center on Thursday, October 6, at 4:00, for a consultation with the oncologist/surgeon who will be doing my surgery. We should get more answers, and a surgery date at that time.

My blood tests confirmed that it is, indeed, ovarian cancer in origin, and has spread from there. They also indicated that in general, I am in very good health, and my local doctor was encouraged by that.

There have been countless things that have happened or fallen into place in the last few days that leave little doubt that our very  kind Father has this all under His wings. Every detail has gone so smoothly and in unheard of swiftness that we feel His hand guiding every step. It is a very safe feeling.

Please pray for wisdom for the surgeon. The logistics of being so far from home will present a hardship for my dear family. Some of them will need to stay in the area during my surgery and recovery. We would covet your prayers regarding the financial aspect of this journey.

Thank you all for coming alongside us in prayer and love. We are humbled and in awe of God's goodness to us.

We are wrapped in the peace that passes understanding and the love that has poured out from each of you.

How grateful we are, dear ones.

God bless you all! Hug each other, and don't take one moment for granted!

~ Colleen
