Babies are wonderful!Posted at 7:39 PM on Jul. 9, 2007
There was the sweetest little girl in a bright pink dress, pink-embroidered sandals, with big pink bow in her long dark hair, sitting in a pink-flowered stroller at the lab this morning. I grinned at her over my blue mask and she wasn't too sure about what was on my face. I pulled the mask down and smiled at her and she broke into a huge grin. Over the next few minutes we played peek-a-boo and she giggled and waved and waved and waved at me. Oh, how I wished I could have hugged her! She was darling.

News from the lab was mixed. My platelets are back in abundance and we are very grateful. The red count was not great, but it was ultimately the white count that once again prevents my having the port and chemo tomorrow. So, everything has been tentatively moved to next Tuesday. The Lord placed every one of those cells just where they are and we rest in His will. It was a profitable day just to meet such a darling little stranger in pink! May she grow up to know Jesus! Thank you for your enduring prayers… "Our soul waiteth for the Lord: he is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we we have trusted in his holy name. Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, as we hope in thee." ~ Psalm 33:21-22 Untitled CommentPosted by Anonymous at 7:50 AM on Jul. 10, 2007
Dear Colleen,

As I sit here at the hospital with Amy I remember you in prayer and in thoughts so often. I will be praying that all your counts are "in order" next week so you can continue with your treatments. You are such an example to me of patiently enduring throughout your illness. I am spending some precious moments with Amy here at Barnes and feel so privileged to be with her. I am thankful to my family for making this possible. I check your blog regularly. Thank you for posting so faithfully for all of us. Enjoy your family and the special moments that the Lord gives to you each day. With love, Anita God has a plan!Posted by A little Virginia Friend at 8:10 AM on Jul. 10, 2007

When my asthma prevents me from doing something, I always trust God that He was protecting me from something. I know you trust in God to help! We're praying for you! Momma sends a hug! Love, Anna Wagner <- Last Page | Next Page -> |
