Just stopping in for a quick update.
Leave a Note
Mom is still in the hospital. Saturday afternoon they released her, though she wasn't feeling much better than when she went in on Tuesday afternoon. By Sunday afternoon she was increasingly unwell again, so my dad took her to the ER. They discovered she has pneumonia, and admitted her once again. Then, Monday morning we found out she has another staph infection. The poor dear! She's also still dealing with nausea, vomiting, and fluctuations in her temperature. We would covet your prayers as Mom's body works hard to recover from so many issues. She has been trying to get rest when she can, since she doesn't get much rest between nurse visits, finger pokes (to check her blood sugar levels), blood draws, breathing treatments, IV changes, pole beeps, and the other interruptions that occur while in the hospital. While we are always so very blessed to have visits from our caring friends, I think Mom will need some time to get to feeling better before resuming visits. Thanks so much for your understanding! I'm not often at the computer these days, but I'll do my best to keep you posted on how Mom's doing! Thank you again for your continued prayers for my dear momma and our family. It means more than we could ever say. In Christ, Amber A gentle hugPosted by Leslie at 6:17 AM on Jun. 25, 2008

Dearest daughter. I know you probably won't be able to read this for awhile, but I just wanted to let you know how much we love you. It is so hard to be 1200 miles away and not be there to hug you, but I know that reading the messages from so many people ministers to you in such a special way. You have been a blessing to so many, but you are blessed by the outpouring of love that I read daily from so many people. Please know that you are in our hearts and prayers not daily, but constantly.

Oh how we missed you on Friday night! We enjoyed your dear family but missed you so terribly ! I cannot count how many times our LORD brings you and your family to my mind and heart these days. Know if we could do anything to ease this journey..... My whole being is in awe of you and your family. If anyone was usnure of there being a God, knowing you and your family would convict them in a heart beat; God is surely using you all for His glory ! - and know, please, dear friend....: If a hug could be felt through the air, you would be crushed. If a person could be held indefinetly, your every second would be shared. If love could fill the universe and calm and cure, this world would be perfect and peaceful-for if any of this was possible, I would do it for you right now. I love you dear friend....tami 8-) Untitled CommentPosted by Anonymous at 11:15 AM on Jun. 25, 2008

Give my friend a gentle hugPosted by Jody at 8:52 AM on Jun. 26, 2008
You all cross my mind many times each day and often in the wee hours of the morning and when you do I pray whatever Spirit brings to my mind - rest, comfort, peace and more. I'd love to visit again -when she's able -if it doesn't take away from your time together. Blessings on you all and my God send his best angels to do battle for you.

Prayers to Colleen and her family...
You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Colleen, I am so happy we've been able to chat over the phone. I remember many happy times from Sunday afternoons at Happy Joe's (I think those were when I first met you guys...) eating pizza and pop and enjoying each other's company to coming to your farm for the weekend when Cory & BJ were little. You lived in I think in Fairfield, or at least near there....not sure of the town. I have pictures of Cory & BJ in a sandbox you had. And then at family gatherings, reunions, weddings, funerals, etc.
Even though we haven't seen each other more often in recent years when we were together it seemed like old times! We enjoyed seeing you at Kim, Doug's & Marie Schurr's weddings. I don't recall if you were able to make it to Cory & Stacie's reception in the Little Amanas. Anyhow, we have always and still do consider you friends and family. You take care and let us know if we can do or bring anything to you.... Love, Dean, Patty & family
