Prayer Basket: The Journey Continues

Our momma, Colleen Moeller, was first diagnosed with ovarian cancer on September 28, 2005. After a valiant fight, our beloved was called Home to be with our Lord on August 2, 2008. This blog was started to keep our family and friends abreast of developments and prayer needs for our family. We love you all and thank you for coming before the Throne on our behalf. We plan to continue to share about our family and our precious Colleen.

Hi! First of all, I want to say that I am very sorry for the passing of your mother. It must be very difficult. I came across your blog site through a link that someone sent in a yahoo group that I subscribe to. I was curious so I started reading the site. I have to say, I have been very blessed and very touched by reading your mother's messages. She had such a true relationship with Jesus and such a trust in God! I don't know exactly how to put into words what I want to say, but I know the 2 pages that I read touched me and brought me closer to God. "Wait on God." I pray that God will be nearer to you these next few days than He has ever been! God Bless. Elizabeth

Love from across the miles

Uncle Dick, Bryan, Tina, Amber & Shannon....
We have been grieving and at the same time praising with you from a distance. We're so sad that Aunt Colleen is gone, but so glad that her suffering is over...and we know that there will be a joyous reunion in glory one day!! I'm so thankful to have been able to hug her a few weeks ago, and even though that time was short, it was SO precious!!! We love you and are so sorry we can't be there this week, but know that we will be praying over you from MO.
Love,
Kelly & Zack

Dear ones,

My prayers are with you. I know first hand the bittersweet emotions you are feeling right now. My own father went to the Lord this past April 22nd. The Lord was so good. I had prayed over 34 years for his salvation and he did accept the Lord April 5th. He is no longer in any pain or suffering. The same is true with your beautiful mom. God is so good and so gracious. What joy we have to look forward to the reunion we anticipate with them "on the other side." I've prayed continually for all of you over the duration of this journey and will continue to do so in not just the days ahead, but the months and years ahead.

"Til we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be . . .When we all see Jesus, we'll sing and shout the victory."

Your Mom's Homegoing

Dear Amber and family,

We were very sad to read tonight of your mother's passing, but along with you, we rejoice, too, knowing she is with her beloved Savior. I (Vonda) was always so blessed by reading her blogs. The peace of God that surpasses all understanding shone through her different messages. We will be praying for you all.
May the "God of all comfort", comfort you as noone else can. His Bondservants -- Dirk and Vonda Zollinger

Praying For Your Family

Posted by nikkisimcox at 5:53 AM on Aug. 5, 2008
I just wanted to let you know what a blessing your family has been since I began reading this blog. Your Mother was such a strong individual. She blessed my heart by her readiness to meet our Lord. When she said she was ready to meet Jesus and asked for prayer for you , her family , I knew then what an amazing woman she was. I know her joy is complete and that God will answer her prayer for her family. I know His Grace will be sufficient for you and His Peace will fill your hearts. Please know that your family has been in our family's and Church's prayers and will continue to be. God Bless you and keep you~ Nikki

I hadn't had the chance to log in for a few days and I received a phone to tell me of the news. My heart is grieving for all of you. I remember enjoying hearing your mom and dear wife sing, and I am sure that right now she is singing with the angels. She was such a caring person and raised a caring family. May the Lord be with you as you feel this void in each of your lives.

Heartfelt prayers

Posted by Anonymous at 10:06 PM on Aug. 6, 2008
Dear Moeller family...I just read about your mom's final journey home to the LORD; on Scraps of Glory. I found your mom's blog months ago and have prayed for you all since then.
It is touching at this time for me as well...my friend Donna with cancer ..diagnosed in March...went to be with the LORD this Monday. Both of them no longer suffering and in HIS presence! I know in both these faithful witness's of God's Grace much fruit has come and will continue on.
Your mom showed herself (and your writings) a precious lady. May God grant you all the peace, courage and strength you need at this time.
As I think upon Donna and her family ...My heart is with yours as well.

Sadness and gladness

Posted by Berni at 10:23 AM on Aug. 7, 2008
It is 10:15 on this very sad Thursday. I may not be at the church this morning with your family, but my heart and prayers are with you. I am so sorry for your loss. But isn't it just so incredible to realize she is walking with our Lord Jesus. In the twinkling of an eye, she left here to be with him. She will not return, but you will all go to be with her, eventually. What a blessed hope we have in Jesus. May God comfort you in the coming days with that hope and with His own presence. --Karl and Berni Hedding
