He Who Waits on UsPosted at 6:47 AM on Aug. 7, 2008
Over the past few days as I ponder the life of my mother and our Heavenly Father, one chapter in the book I was reading with Mom, "Waiting on God" by Andrew Murray, gave a sweet reminder that while we wait upon God, He also waits for us! Today we say our last goodbyes here on earth to our precious mother, wife, daughter and friend; but what a joyous day it will be to reunite together one day in Paradise. All glory be to the Father.

~ Amber WAITING ON GOD: Who Waits on Us -- Day 20 Bless you!Posted by Anonymous at 12:53 PM on Aug. 7, 2008
Bless you, Amber, for posting on this very day! I so wanted to be there for your momma's celebration, but couldn't. As is characteristic of you and your family, you gave to ME when I wished I could give to you. I have pulled out all my old issues of the Alliant, so I could read again your momma's wise words. Maybe someday you can compile a book. What a legacy she left you!! Not just her written words, but what she wrote on your heart and in your life - the rest of your family as well. May the God of all comfort give you that peace that passes all understanding. I am so thankful for the life of your mother! Continuing in prayer for all of you!! God bless you!

passingPosted by Nick Jesch at 12:53 PM on Aug. 7, 2008
I don't know your family, just linked here from the Serven's blog post of today. I had not known of this situation, but, in reading a bit here, I can certainly understand somewhat of your journey. I've only recently been down a similar road with my Dad, who passed into the arms of his Saviour this past May. Certainly, you will miss her. She filled a role in the structure of your family that was unique, and no one else can possibly replace her. And yet, for her to be absent in the body and present with the Lord is a great kindness for her. God in His providence has done the best for her, and her family. The grieving will come, and it is a good thing to weep together, to reminisce, to take time to be together. The same Lord whose providence promoted her will also provide for you all, in leading you forward into the remainder of your days here. I likely don't need to say this, but I will: te sure to take care for one another, cleaving together in His strength as you move ahead on His chosen path. My heart certainly goes out to all of you as you begin these next steps of your own journey.

My PrayersPosted by Lorie at 1:09 AM on Aug. 8, 2008
My prayers are with you all at this time, I just found your site through a sister that I was visiting. Your Mom was truly blessed to have all of you and I sense she was a wonderful woman of God. When my Dad went home to be with the Lord tha last look I saw upon his face was one of peace and he looked like he just saw the most beautiful sight and I know it must have been the face of our precious Lord. Blessings to each of you as you rejoice in the reunion of you dear mom and her Father in heaven. Aloha Lorie

There in spirit
I am praying for you. Thank you, Amber, for sharing this morning. I know your Mommy was so very proud of you. I only knew Colleen via internet and our correspondence about articles, but my brief encounters with her have taught me so very much. I wish I could be there today, but am with you in spirit and in my fervent prayers.
With much love in our Savior,
Sarah Eppes
