Prayer Basket: The Journey Continues

Our momma, Colleen Moeller, was first diagnosed with ovarian cancer on September 28, 2005. After a valiant fight, our beloved was called Home to be with our Lord on August 2, 2008. This blog was started to keep our family and friends abreast of developments and prayer needs for our family. We love you all and thank you for coming before the Throne on our behalf. We plan to continue to share about our family and our precious Colleen.

Mom's Last Post &, Lord Wiling, the Blog will be a Book

Posted at 10:40 AM on Aug. 27, 2008
Mom told me some weeks before she passed away that there was one last blog entry she wanted me to post for her after she was called Home. She said I would know what it was when it came time. I had hoped to locate it before now, but so far the search continues. I will be sure to add it here as soon as it is discovered.

We have been surprised and overwhelmed by how many of you have independently requested that this blog become a book--over the past few weeks especially.

It seems the Lord is giving me clear direction in this matter. Turning the blog into a book has been in the back of my mind for a long time, but I knew that while Mom lived, it wasn't the right time. My energies were needed elsewhere. Now, I'm hoping to use the energy that I once poured into caring for my mom, to working on making her valiant devotion and steadfastness to the Lord, in the midst of pain and suffering, live on (with included memories, letters, and other photos that haven't made it here thus far).

Also, those that have requested CD's or MP3's of the funeral, we are still in the editing process to remove pauses, etc. We'll be including on/in the funeral service CD/MP3 three songs that my mom sang at church concerts when I was little. They help reveal more of Mom's trust and devotion to the Lord.

I am so glad to hear that you will make the blog into a book. Your mom's writing was such an inspiration and encouragement to many, myself included. I know there are many who would benefit from her words of wisdom. I shall look forward to seeing her last entry. She is thought of often here in the Dunn house and your family is prayed for daily!

Oh yes!! The blog into a book - it has been my prayer. I met Colleen only once, but my comment to her was that I thought the Lord must have taken her through quite a lot for her to have the countenance she had. Of course she smiled - big! Obviously that spirit came through in everything she wrote. I am so very glad that the Lord is leading you in this way!

Your family continues in my prayers...

How exciting! I look forward to the day. Thankful you're doing well. You folks are often in my thoughts, and of course, prayers.
